Thanks, everyone. She's an old kitty (16) and has had diabetes for the past 10 years. It was just a major hypoglycemic episode - I found her almost comatose in our basement and her blood sugar was so low it didn't even register on the vet's monitor. The thing is, the episode was brought on by the fact that she's lost her appetite lately and was still getting insulin but not eating to compensate for it. Hopefully the vet can get everything adjusted again, but the loss of appetite may indicate a bigger underlying problem. If they can't do anything for her, I'll know she's lived a long life so I'll be ok (after a bit of crying). I've had her for 15 years - longer than I've known DH!

So last night's food didn't end up so badly after all. I had lots of allowance left for both protein and sodium, and I don't think I went too far over even though I had lots of snacks at my friend's house.
7am: coffee
12pm: rice with yogurt and balsamic, 2 fruit creme cookies, ground cherries
5pm: rice pasta with zucchini, mushrooms and leeks sauteed in butter + creme fraiche and parmesan, 2 digestive biscuits
8:30pm: tortilla chips and salsa + guacamole (I only had maybe 10 chips, and a couple of TBSP each of the dips), 3 mini fruit tarts, 8 tiny peanut butter cups, ryvita with a tiny bit of the cream cheese/red pepper jelly dip my friend made, 1 shortbread cookie
I may have ended up a bit over for sodium, but I don't think it was crazy like it was the past couple of days. I also like to make sure to not only eat but go back for seconds when I'm with my friends since I know those who don't know about the diet think I have an eating disorder.
I'm off to a kid's birthday party with my kids today, and I'm definitely planning to have a piece of cake!

No breakfast
Lunch and dinner rice with cucumber or courgette, skittles, meringues
Tried to be really good and boring since I think I ov today, I'm hoping I may have lost 1lb in the last 2 days but failing that I've had no nutrients

breakfast: nothing
lunch: 8 cream crackers with a little unsalted butter, 1 apple, a few grapes, 1 babybel
tea: Wispa to help me walk home, leftovers from yesterday (chow mein chicken + veg, with rice)
supper: 2 WW choc slices with cream + strawberries, a few marshmallows
don't actually feel like I've eaten as much today although it looks a lot written down. I haven't been hungry between meals all day or in the morning which makes a change!

Mmmm...sounds good, swish!
I don't think I wrote down yesterday's food, so here it is:
7am: coffee
12pm: rice with yogurt, 2 digestive biscuits
3pm: chocolate cupcake, 1 small handful chips (birthday party)
5:30 pm: veggie burger, 2 pieces bocconcini salad, pear, mini raspberry tart
9pm: Sour Patch Kids, mini Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream bar (sooooo yummy!)
Today:
7am: coffee
12pm: pita with cucumber and sweet potato hummus (I found this at the grocery store - it has 1/3 the sodium of regular hummus and it was very yummy!), 2 fruit creme cookies, grapes
5:30pm: rarebit (low sodium tomato soup, cheddar cheese, 1 egg on WW bread, toasted) I made this for the kids and wasn't going to eat any, but once I figured out the totals I discovered the portions were so small I could have some...but then I had seconds and it pushed my sodium over the edge. At least I put my seconds on my homemade low sodium bread instead of th store bought stuff. I also had orange sorbet and grapes.
9:30: strawberries, chocolate wafer cookies, Mike & Ikes
