1. Analysis of DNA from fetal cells in maternal blood samples is a screening test that is a non-invasive prenatal procedure and poses no risks to the mother or the fetus. The non-invasive baby gender predictor is based on the detection of Y chromosome-specific DNA in maternal blood samples.
2. This DNA identity baby gender test is relatively inexpensive in comparison to invasive techniques such as CVS or amniocentesis.
To learn more, read Misconceptions about the technology and an article in the Science magazine about the non-invasive prenatal technology.
Timing for the Test – Order test NOW!
Using DNA test from Health Genetic Center, a gender confirmation (Y-chromosome detection) can be done at 10 weeks of gestation.
Results – Order test NOW!
The procedure takes 7 business days, and the final report contains one of the following results:
- POSITIVE for the presence of Y-chromosome. Positive Y chromosome DNA test confirms the presence of a male fetus in the recent pregnancy.
- NEGATIVE for the presence of Y-chromosome. Negative DNA test result confirms the absence of Y chromosome DNA in maternal blood samples. This means that 1) the mother is carrying a female fetus or 2) amount of fetal DNA in maternal blood is very low (lower than the detection limit of the DNA test). Please note that if the sample is collected after 10 weeks of pregnancy then the technique is sensitive enough to detect a small amount of fetal DNA in mother’s blood. Only in very rare cases (less than 1%) this amount lower is than the detection limit at 10 weeks of pregnancy.
Sensitivity and specificity of the test - Order test NOW!
Sensitivity and specificity of the detection of male fetuses at 10 weeks of gestation for properly collected maternal blood samples is more than 99%. It is very good.

I need some advice...
So AF arrived today so I guess I'm due to ovulate in roughly 2 weeks. But I have been so far off the LE diet bandwagon the last week. If we decide to TTC this month it will be our last chance this year as we are wanting to avoid another April-August birthday but is it even worth trying after being off the diet and no exercise for a week now?? And even before this week I was only back on LE for about 4 weeks since our m/c.
DH wants to try but I don't want to if it means our chances of a girl have been decreased due to my stupid lack of willpower!!! 😞Mum of 9 boys & my stillborn angel daughter, Shaylah Anne 20/02/2015

Thanks, Bethwade! I was doing vitex for a few months before ttc, then clomid on cycle 1, back to vitex on cycle 2, clomid cycle 3, nothing on 4 & 5. :/ No other meds. I figured maybe the vitex/clomid was messing with things too much for me. But...2 months off ands still nothing. I've loosened up the LE, too. I've been trying to exercise more, just to off set the fact that I'm doing almost nothing else to sway now. But I'm not a tiny thing, so I'm certain my BMI isn't too low to O. (Still at least 20lbs heavier than my lowest conception weight.)
AF is due, well, 2 days ago. But ever since my first round of clomid, my cycles have been a bit unpredictable. I'm 99% sure I'm out. Just waiting... sigh.

I'd for sure go for it Mumofsix! 1 week off is nothing!
With me, I was sure I was going to O late this cycle from all the stress of planning our trip to Greece and Italy that we leave for next week. Last month I started getting +opk tests on CD9 and so far this month they've been super negative CD9-CD11. So I thought I still had a while to go.
But look what I got this afternoon on CD12!!!! And lots of ewcm too!

DH is on his way home from the hockey game and I'm going to go do my workout right now, drink my 2 nightly shots of vodka, then dtd! Wish me luck! Eeek, it's Friday the 13th AND a full moon!!!!Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.
