So I was telling hubby this morning about a successful sway (yours ash! And your first time swaying too). He wanted to know how many so far have been successful vs not. I said 2 successful vs 3 not.
He got all like "well clearly there isn't anything in swaying is there if the sways are 50/50 pretty much at the moment - just like normal life." I rolled my eyes at him, but then the stats are there so I guess he's right so far. Makes me question my sway and that it won't be successful

ASH - Wohoooooo! What wonderful news to wake up to this morning!!! So excited for you and I think it gives us all a glimmer of hope. Loving all your girly purchases too.

Pbn3 - Sorry to hear things have been rough Hope you make it through it xoxo

Big hi to everyone else too. I've been IMA for a while.....I'm 6 weeks now and struggling. I look 4 months pregnant, my pants are all too tight, I'm always feeling sick, tired and lacking energy. To top it off, I now have a cold. Getting some early nights and lots of VIT C, so hope I kick it. On the other hand, I'm so grateful and cannot wait for a scan on Thursday!!!!

Can anyone talk to me about the Harmony Prenatal Test? Pros and Cons? Thanks so much!

Dancing we are just one small group in the scheme of things [emoji53] need to look at a much bigger sample size to see how successful swaying really is. And then you'd need to look at how hardcore the sways were on top of that. I dont ever think we'll know for sure if it works or not unless a controlled study was done where everyone was closely monitored for food and exercise purposes to make sure they were all sticking to the same guidelines. And then the attempts but god only knows how that would be monitored [emoji23] it does seem to have a bit higher than 50% rate though that I've seen. Plus there's also good and bad results in batches as well. I definately think there is something to some of what is said to sway, but other things I don't think do unless maybe it its partnership with the things that do. As an example, my diet when I conceived my boys was 100 % HE plus I had done moderate exercise in the few months beforehand to lose weight and be at my healthiest. BUT I drank alot of coffee (like 2 at home coffees and then a daily cafe coffee - the really strong stuff) plus I drank alot of alcohol too, most nights I'd have a couple and then drank more on the weekend. Caffiene and alcohol are said to sway pink but perhaps they only sway pink as part of the LE diet. Maybe because I was at my healthiest my diet and lifestyle made up for caffiene and alcohol but in a pink sway way it just enhances the hostile environment??? Not sure but its certainly interesting to think about [emoji3]

Nacire seen you scan update in the July 2ww thread [emoji7][emoji7] cant wait for your 12w scan! With the harmony test I'm not sure there are any cons except maybe the cost? But I feel its worth every penny for the accuracy it provides. If you get it done at 10w you'll likely have the results before your next scan!! You're finding out gender right?

It's late here & I really should be sleeping, but there is a helicopter that is continuously flying over & keeping me awake grrr. Must be looking for something! Ughh, sure hope they find it!
Nacire-my genetic testing was Counsyl, so I'm sorry I don't know anything about Harmony, but hopefully others here have some info! I'd imagine they're similar.
Iwant4-sorry you are feeling so sick, not fun...BUT yay for your appt on Thurs, so exciting!!
Dancing-Fx we get many more successful sways to change those stats!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Pbn3 - Thank so much for your input! My obgyn said this one is completely covered by our insurance, and highly recommend we get it done. I just wanted to make sure it had great accuracy, and not high for false positives. I wasn't quite sure if these kinds of test are created equal. I think I've read some are better than others. I am scheduled to take the test on August 19th 8am I'm very nervous that this stranger will call me with the gender and everything else for that matter. I'm freaking out just thinking about it all.. But Yes we want to know the gender. I could totally wait, but my husband just can't lol My husband will be back in Korea for a few weeks, but I'm still going to get my blood drawn on the scheduled day
