Yea those all make sense. Thanks for your input. Just wanted to get your ideas. I have already looked up what I could call this gender party. If we do it I think we will go with the theme "3 of a kind or daughter divine". That's me rhyming! Haha!!! They have a new way to reveal since our last party. You put pink or blue balloons in a box and then open the top lid and the balloons come flying out revealing the gender. Anyway, my DH says it would be really weird if we didn't do a party since we did it for the others. He doesn't want anyone to sense we would be anything other than totally happy with boy or girl. He says if we show less excitement we are more prone to hearing mean comments. Hmmmm decisions decisions!

Ooh Rainbow, nothing official - I am just a crazy
Ramzi, heartbeat and my ultrasound tech all think girl, so basically everything I have is pointing to girl and being that I got like 20 pictures today and none show a nub, I am thinking it must be a boy? Who knows. I am just trying to move on from it honestly and just celebrate the fact that there's a healthy baby in there!
SOAR, love that idea with the balloons if you do that. I have a friend that did something similar and the pictures were adorable!

Onthepond the heartbeat thing is completely wrong, if it were true my ds1 would be a girl. I believe the heartbeat shows more about personality than gender. Ds1 was always super super high heartbeat, almost to the limit of normal, often 170bpm! Never less than 150, and he is supercharged in real life too. Ds2 was very slow heartbeat, 120-130bpm they often had to scan twice to make sure they were accurate and were worried it was so slow. He is super chilled and relaxed in real life. I think it has more to do with that. That's what our midwife said she had noticed from her experience anyway and I can't argue!

Wow that's a really cool observation your midwife made about the HB.
Now I was actually excited about the HB of this baby it's always in the 160's which is way higher than DS1 or 2! But I know there really isn't a connect from HB to gender but in my case I wish it was!
I think we will do the balloon gender party. At least that is my thought for tonight.
By this time next week I will have had the gender scan! Ahhhh I'm so scared I only have a couple more days to dream of a girl.
Totally off subject----I just got my drivers license notification in the mail that I have to go in for a new picture since its been 15 years since my last picture. I have to do this before my birthday which is Oct 12th! Now I am going to have my DL picture of being fat and preggo for the next 15 years!!!! Oh man.......!(2009)

I've looked into the heartbeat thing, too....I think it's total bunk. I think it depends on lots of things...including if the mom just had sugar or caffeine.
So I totally wouldn't go by that...and I'm not just saying that b/c I posted a video of my Doppler on Facebook today & got lots of boy guesses...LOL!!Proud mom of 3 sweet boys...

I think a gender reveal sounds like fun! It is soooo unBritish that I cannot see myself doing one though
oh and i only know about 4 people here!
I think it is a great way to show the world how excited you are about the baby whatever its gender and for siblings to get involved. I think it would also keep nasty comments at bay - who is going to say are you going ti try for a boy/girl next when you are standing next to a box of coloured balloons beaming your face off?
Meeks you could make the party as much about your boys as the baby and then it is more a celebratn of your family. Let's face it most if your planning will go into making sure they are happy and entertained anyway! I have seen a cute game where you put your children's names on the wall on big bits of paper and then give one photo of them as babies etc to each guest and they have to put them under the right name. If there aren't enough photos you can write funny comments or things they have done too. At the end it means your boys have a whole stack of things just about them on the wall and loads of ahhhhh how cute etc comments.
I agree that 12 weeks is very early - my tech was very up on nub theory and even she said it could easily change. The heartbeat thing couldn't possibly be true otherwise gender scans wouldn't exist we would just need a doppler. Meeks good thinking getting one! Now you officially do not need your doctor.
