I'm gonna need ramzi's to be wrong on this one! Well it's kind of inconclusive baby3 is right in the middle at 7wks2days.
Emily-I think you are right! Who can say something tacky with a smile and balloons in hand? Even if it is a girl, I am sure I would get tacky comments. Oh glad you decided to try for a third. Now will you guys stop having babies? You finally broke the curse huh? All tacky people can shove it! I think we will do the party! You have inspired me! I also like your picture idea at the party! That's a fun way to include the boys! I may steal that little touch as well!

You ladies are amazing. Thank you so much, this is just what I needed to read tonight. I think this is just so emotional for me because the baby we lost was a boy...I truly just need to celebrate the perfect, healthy baby growing inside and Beadin you are SO right... Sisters are the best!

Lol Soar and your drivers licence, sorry I know its not funny, but its pretty funny. Go get that pic asap before you get any bigger!!!!
That happened to me, in a different way for my University student ID card. They didn't tell us when they would be doing them, so I showed up one day hungover with no makeup and in tracksuit pants after an exam period finished, and they said EVERYONE HAS TO GET THEIR ID PHOTO TODAY. It only lasted 4 years but omg I could have died. The number of times I had to show it, and be embarrassed!
Em I love that idea for the party. Remind me of that after the scan next week. Jeez baby better not cross its legs, I dont know how I will last another 4-5 weeks to the anatomy scan!!!DS1 2009, DS2 2011.

Exactly! Just think of all the money we have saved over the last few months with me not eating anything except rice cakes and never going out for dinner!
We have only told immediate family - most people IRL don't know I am pg as we left Spain shortly after the 12 week scan and after the chemical i did not want to tell anyone too soon. DH is a bit weird about putting things on FB so I won't put anything on there till she is born. My mum was especially happy as this is her first Granddaughter and my sister 'gave' me the girl's name she was never able to use which is soo sweet of her. Unfortunately i don't like the name but am calling using my sister's name as the middle name.
i would love to have a gender party now! It would be a bit weird though as we do not know enough people and have only just met those.

amen on the diet and money saving. Plus its not like we have to buy anything else for number 3. I plan to buy some new clothes if its a boy too. My leftovers from ds1 and 2 are pretty feral now!
I am thinking of maybe doing one of the gender announcement pictures I found on pinterest for more a gender announcement... I still feel weird having a party when we haven't before. Although some women do it here its not particularly Australian, but i've enjoyed seeing my USA friends do it.DS1 2009, DS2 2011.

Onthepond - Glad you're feeling better.
Time will tell, but you are absolutely right...healthy baby is wonderful!
Soar - Fun on the gender reveal party! I think you're right...negative comments will sound stupid at a fun party! And yes, everyone knowing at once will hopefully get any dumb comments out of the way at once.
Meeks - Will definitely be buying new clothes here. Totally opposite season from really all 3 of them. I live in Colorado (mountainous state), so Feb. is still smack dab in the middle of winter. I had to buy a few cold weather clothes for DS3, who was born May 5th. It can snow in May here! But I have very little appropriate-weather clothes for a winter baby. So yay, I still get to shop! Plus, all my summer baby clothes are in seriously bad shape, going through 3 boys!! I was actually excited at the thought of giving most of the old stuff away! Will probably keep all their going-home outfits, just for sentimental value, but all the other stained, ragged stuff is getting thrown out!
Told my parents tonight. They were amazingly supportive and wonderful. I thought I might be able to get through without crying, but um, noooo...that didn't happen. I told them the whole story, rainbows and all. They were 100% on board with my DH's comments! And when I told them how easily this baby was conceived (in spite of my pink sway AND in spite of my age AND in spite of my history), they were both amazed, and said this little guy must be special and so meant to be! Said they're looking forward to watching it all unfold.I gotta say, right now I'm feeling tons better. I think deep down I was worried about their reaction, to a fourth, to another boy. Obviously, I shouldn't have been. So grateful for them.
