Ok so this morning I was at a pool play date with some friends and a woman walks in with 3 boys. The baby boy was adorable and they looked to be about where my 3 will be once this one comes. So I thought I'm going to ask her if she has any advice on 3 boys the do's and don'ts. First she asked what I was having. I said we don't know yet. Then she asked if I was caring the same. I said this one is higher up. Then she was like well there are things you are suppose to do to try for a girl and then another woman chimes in oh yea my friend read all the books on what to do and she got her girl. I couldn't believe it we were openly talking about swaying at a pool play date! All this to say that gender desire is totally 100% normal. Whether anyone admits it or not. I have really been beating myself up about these feelings and here I am discussing it with 2 woman who all have boys! It made me feel a lot better and less like a selfish bratty I want it teenager.

Anyway just wanted to share the good that can come of talking about it. And I feel much better today!

Yay, I bet you do feel better talking about it! I meant to reply earlier to say I'm sorry you're feeling so worried about your scan...trust me, I understand. I was sooo dreading finding out! So your feelings about your scan are so normal! Just think...your pink dream may very much be a reality come Tuesday!!

Yes we told people we were team green for my third but heard boy didn't tell anyone until he was born. This is our first little team green. I'm going to be really good and ask the tech to get me to look away at 20 week scan if there are any gender scans (not that I think I would have a clue with a potty shot anyway).

Can I just say that I LOVE you ladies???
I feel so comfortable & happy here....and I know, NO MATTER WHAT...I have a support system here that will allow me to deal with anything. That means SO MUCH!! <3

Ok ladies this week has been terrible! Apparently I get worst daughter of the year award! Ugh!!!! My grandma is doing much better and my parents are moving her into a senior living apt not a nursing home. Which is excellent news! But......I didn't realize they were moving her today and my mom had been calling all day starting this morning and I didn't get the call till today at 2pm. Anyhow when I called her back she asked what I was doing and I said "going to to get my nails done for our vacation next week!" Her response "oh must be nice we are on our 3rd truck load moving your grandma out of her house!" Insert terrible daughter award here! Anyway, I was like oh ok I will come over right now instead and she said "don't bother we are on the last load." She was very upset and now I feel terrible. I kept saying "I'll come over now." But she wasn't having any of it! Ugh...my mom and I have a less than ideal relationship but this just made it much worse. My parents and my dad's two brothers are over there helping them move. Which is my grandma's 3 sons so they have enough help but I think it's that I'm not there that has made this a HOT subject. We had planned to head over there tomorrow after church to visit with grandma anyway which was the original plan but now they moved things up I guess and here we are!

If we communicated better this might have not been the situation but obviously we don't and so here I am.

Hope you guys are having a better weekend than I am having! Thanks again for letting me rant! This week needs to be over!!!!!!

Aww Soar, that sucks...but PLEASE don't blame yourself. You really couldn't do much to help right now anyway.
I'm sure your mom is feeling emotional from what she's witnessing her mom go through & she wants your support...she just went about it the wrong way.
Maybe you could call her later & just tell her you're there for her.

So sorry you're having to deal with this.

Beadin-You are right. There isn't a whole lot I could do to help in regards to lifting but it is stressful and I need to remember she is probably just venting. We will go over to my parents tomorrow and see them after we see Grandma! Hopefully that will make her happy! She just needs to see our faces really during this time.

It was a genuine oversight soar, don't beat yourself up. You didn't know. It was a genuine mistake. Sure Beadin is right and your mum is just emotional now.

Can I ask what prenatal vitamins you ladies are taking?

I bought Similac Prenatals...it's got two types...the HUMONGOUS white tablet & a red gel cap with DHA.

Today, for the second time...despite having eaten before, I vomited about 15 minutes after taking them. I don't think the big white tablet is sitting well with me.

Anybody have a decent size prenatal they're happy with??
