Ok first of all, people that are thin and were actively losing weight and conceived a boy, CANNOT say..oh this didn't work for me so I will focus on something else. ALL the studies out there, Trivers-Willard and multiple other studies do not put the sex ratio at 0-100 when times are scarce..it is not 100%, just what it is a trend across the board...TRENDS and statistics that BALANCE out at 100%. It is not black and white.
Even if you conceived 4 sons while actively losing weight, it does not discount that a a diminished maternal condition, produces more girls. Its a fact that many studies have been able to back up.
However, people with eating disorders in their past history SCARE me while trying to sway. You know why, and I know why, if you are one of them. Please be careful. It has NOTHING to do at all with testosterone, it has to do with it will do with your head and its not good to be looking at food that way again. There is no such thing as a bad food. REpeat it like a mantra and if you feel yourself slipping, eat some food and get back your equilibrium because once that is GONE, its all over. There is a way to do this, without being sick.

As long as you are keeping under your cals/protein/fat limits for the day, that's all that counts. The diet itself sets the limits on it, you don't have to worry about whether you're drinking one glass or 3 ****s of cheese. Dairy has a lot of protein and sodium as well, for not a ton of cals, so if you include it, you have to be careful that you don't err too much on the side of lower calories. If you go over on protein and have only eaten 500 cals, some people then starve themselves the rest of the day to avoid protein but that is not safe or sane. Most people should get 1500-1800 and no one should ever drop below 1200 cals a day.

100% well said. I would prefer if people recovering from eating disorders did not do diet at all. If you are already low in BMI and eat relatively few calories (like, not 3000 LOL) you don't even NEED to worry about diet at all. That part is already taken care of. Just go with everything else.

yeah , In all honesty, I'm having a hard time not obsessing over the control part of eating again.. the counting and such brings me back to my eating disorder days, I know its not as effective but I was thinking of just watching what foods I eat(like avoid meat and avocados) , without obsessively counting, knowing when I keep dairy skim or reduced fat I don't go over the limits anyway with my normal eating habits.

spinningmadly, I agree....in your case I'd do a lite version of the diet, as far avoiding really heatlhy and fatty foods (like salmon, avacodos, red meat, olive oil), etc, and just focus on that....without getting too obessive about counting cals etc. While I did stay within diet limits, I refused to obsess over every calorie or what not, if I had a cheat meal, I did not even fret or worry about it. I was very calm about it all, and I think that really, really helps more than getting upset over ever little morsel.
And harleyquinn, very very well said...that was amazing!
