Yes, that's fine as long as none of the other ingredients are in your prenatal - you don't want to get too much selenium, boron, etc. Getting 1000-1200 IU Vit. D is fine, but you don't want to overdo esp. the selenium and boron.

Sorry, again I didn't see this! Bump it!

FOR BLUE SWAYERS ONLY: you can take the AF-O supps all month long as long as you're not TTC. The only supp I tend to suggest for blue swayers that is AF-O is evening primrose oil and you need to take that WITH fish oil (which is taken all month) There are others like Fertile CM and L-arg that can be taken just AF-O, but I don't generally recommend any of those anyway. Soy is days 3-7 or 4-8 or 5-9. And tribulous is taken some really weird pattern of days, I believe it's CD 5 thru CD 14 (I dont' have my notes right in front of me) but I don't want anyone taking tribulous anyway.
Also if you are doing any of the BSD/COT/Ural drinks (which again, I don't advise) these must be stopped at O.
If you're doing red rasp. leaf tea, gently wean off after BFPLast edited by atomic sagebrush; October 7th, 2012 at 11:29 AM.

Firstly because I don't believe in pH, nor do I believe that foods can have that much of an effect on CM pH because the VJ has nothing to do with the digestive tract. Everything you eat and drink quickly drops to a very low pH when it hits your stomach acid.
But the real reason is because they are not safe. Baking soda drinks are extremely high in sodium and aside from health concerns high sodium may even sway pink, not blue by harming health and fertility and causing nutrients to be badly absorbed. Also can cause damage to your esophagus if it isn't mixed properly, and even when used correctly can cause something called rebound acid reflux where your stomach makes large amounts of acid to digest the baking soda. (this has happened to several people)
The COT is more complicated - COT is very easily absorbed potassium and you cannot drink it after O, you have to stop it very suddenly. Your body doesn't like having very high levels of potassium and takes steps to eliminate as much as it can, so then when you stop the COT at ovulation, your body doesn't realize this and continues eliminating a lot of potassium for awhile. This can set you up for very low potassium which is VERY dangerous and can kill.
Ural has both baking soda and COT and is bad on two levels!
It's totally possible to get a lot of potassium from diet alone which is safe, and there is a thread in the Dream Members section that tells how to do it.!!! Questions??
