Well, I would not have you follow the 'crash and burn' style LE Diet - get your carbs from fruit, veg, and 2-3 servings of whole grains a day.
Eating things liek white rice and noodles while on Metformin can give you terrible diarrhea.

DO NOT worry about the nutrients in vegetables. They are allowed on the LE Diet. It's Low Everything, not No Everything. You'd have to eat a mountain of broccoli to get the amount of nutrients in a Big Mac, Fries, and choc. shake. Low carb veggies are actually free foods on LE, you can have as much as you like.

And one other thing. I have to take 850mg Metformin morning and evening. If I skip breakfast it doesn't make sence to take the morning dose, does it> should I better take it at early noon with lunch?
I tried to google Metformin and pink sway but couldn't find many infos. I read somewhere that mineral pills like magnesium and calcium alcalize the body, do you think Metformin pills do too... Did not really understand that. Could you please explain that to me> thank you so much!
I have a friend who concieved a boy on Metformin. She lost a lot of weight before she concieved but she was pretty obese and has an underactive thyroid (which probably sways blue). She also eats a very boyish diet.

The reason Metformin sways has nothing to do with alkalinity (which, you cannot "alkalinize" your body anyway, that's an old wives' tale that vitamin peddlers use to sell their supplements with Acid/Alkaline Theory of Disease Is Nonsense) it has to do with lower blood sugar and lower testosterone. Those things, unlike pH, have been quite well proven to sway gender. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ph-pickle.html
No sway tactic is 100%. Somebody will always know somebody who conceived an opposite. I would suspect that someone who is obese and has underactive thyroid also had PCOS or PCOS tendencies, which would tend to sway blue.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

tHank you atomic for this fantastic explaination. I had the same thought about PCOS with my friend but she said the doctors checked and said this is not the case ( though I think it could be very well true- she has a lot body hair for example). But her diet is so boy friendly, sitting there watching her eat makes me sick. She wants a second child in the near future and I am so curios. A lot of times I have been really surprised because I am the only!!! one of my collegues who has 2 !! boys, out of 16 people, they have mostly GB, BG or GG or B or G. That really kills me.

Once in a while is ok and as you lose weight your insulin resistance will improve and you are better able to tolerate carbs. Insulin resistance is not a set-in-stone thing that you either have or don't have, it can get better and even go away entirely with weight loss and exercise.
Many people, even with insulin resistant tendencies, actually MUST include empty carbs because otherwise they will lose so much eight that ovulation will stop all together.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
