**** uses 8-probe FISH which is not a good method for testing embryos. There can be a 10% chance of a false positive result per probe. It's not used really for Gender Selection. 5-probes is the highest amount when using FISH. After tgat, the cell must be washed and tested again.
It is illegal there. Genesis Cyprus or the USA is a better option.Last edited by nuthinbutpink; October 24th, 2012 at 06:41 AM.

Miki it is against the law to do only genderselection. So the clinic say they offers testing for health. Sometime a illness is only on the x or y. So they test also x and x. Because they test the x and y they know the gender of the embryo. But it is not their main reason to test gender (like in America or Cyprus). They let you choose which embryo you want to transfer. So it isn't directly genderselection because the clinic tests for health and from all the healthy embryos you can choose what you want.
In America you can say test just x and y dont test for health and I want only x. That's not against the law there.
That's the difference.

Lisvna,
So the difference between Prague and Spain is that in Spain you can do PGD for health but they don't let you choose what you want but in Prague you do PGD for health and they YES let you choose. I'm correct???

There is another clinic who does genderselection in Europe. It's in Russia. I have never been there but maybe it's a good clinic? I don't know......
These are the things and prices they write:
Thank you for your interest in the services of our clinic.
The cost of IVF in our clinic is RUR 162,450.0 (including Menopur).
The cost of drugs is about RUR 50,000.0 if you buy them in Russia. All the
medications that are used in the treatment and are prescribed by the
doctor can be bought in our clinic. The initial consultation is RUR 3,000.0.
ICSI costs RUR 30,000.0.
PGD costs RUR 120,000.0.
Please use the given link: RBC - RosBusinessConsulting to learn the current exchange rate.
Our success rate in IVF cycles has been 47% delivered pregnancy per transfer
in 2007, 54% clinical pregnancy per transfer in 2008, 56% clinical pregnancy per transfer in 2009.
PGD costs RUR 120,000.0, this price includes investigation for 13th, 18th, 21st,X and Y chromosomes and gender selection.
The treatment of foreign patients is usually organized the following way:
It is better if you come to Moscow twice. During your initial visit
our doctor will study your medical history, your medical test results,
perform ultrasound examination and prescribe any additional tests if required. On
the same day you can sign a contract for medical treatment and make partial
payment for IVF cycle. You can purchase all the necessary drugs in our clinic.
For the first visit 1 or 2 days are enough. Then you will start ovarian
stimulation under the supervision of your local gynecologist, and you will
come to Moscow two days before egg retrieval. You will stay in Moscow
for 6-7 days, and you can leave Moscow the next day after the embryo transfer.
You can choose not to come for the initial visit if you send us all the necessary
tests by e-mail or fax. After that the doctor will send you the necessary
recommendations and will keep in touch with you via e-mail or by phone. It is very
important that you visit a gynecologist (preferably from IVF clinic) who will
monitor your preparation for IVF cycle according to our instructions.
You will need to perform 2 or 3 ultrasound scans and some blood tests during that period.
Your total stay in Moscow will be for about 7-8 days.
Alternatively you can stay in Moscow for the whole treatment period, it will be for
about 2-3 weeks.
If you decide to have your treatment at our facility, please fill-in
the attached questionnaire for the doctor to review it and to give you
further recommendations.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
