Maybe have him on LR for two weeks...3 months before an attempt? You don't see those sperm for 72 days.

Hmm, as far as "why" it's hard on his body I'm not sure exactly, but herbs are powerful so when there are advisories on how often/long to take them it's best to follow that advice. I'm sure Atomic has a post somewhere on the site on why DH shouldn't be on it longer than 2 weeks at a time but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just follow the instructions and I'm sure all will be fine for your DH to take LR. Good luck!

It takes about 2 1/2 months (72 days) for sperm to be produced so at least that long for you to be getting the new sperm his supplements have had an effect on. I would start him 3 months before an attempt.

This is true, BUT since the LR is kind of a dangerous supp I prefer people start the LR no sooner than 6 weeks in advance of attempt. DH can only be on it for 6 months without a break, so to be on it 3 months before you even start to try, puts too much pressure on you guys to get pg right away.

So the schedule for LR that I recommend is:

Your CD 1 thru CD 14 of the month prior to your attempt, then rest of cycle off

Then Cd 1 thru CD 14 of the month you are going to attempt, then rest of cycle off, even if you do not O for several days after CD 14 he should stop at CD 14 regardless.

He should repeat this process for 6 months and at that point needs to take a full month off (which will end up being 6 weeks really) but you can STILL attempt that month, the LR has a cumulative effect and takes time to wear off.

Re the cran, as far in advance as possible is great, BUT cran can act kind of quick for lowering pH so if you can't get it into his gullet until 1 week before O, even that is better than nuttin'.

I'm sorry I don't have my licorice essay done yet, but it's BOTH. LR is the most dangerous supp for any swayer boy or girl. It can cause high blood pressure which in turn can be harmful for guys who have heart and kidney disease.

So, is it possible (if I assume the risk of only having 3 months after the first attempt to get pregnant) to DH to take LR from now untill may (my bottle says 6 weeks)? He´s already taking it , (until a find a answer to the question by here lol) to "cover" the sperm production he´s making by now and which will be released. He´s only taking one per day. Is it ok?

Working on an essay now that will answer this, but I think it's better to take the higher dose for a short time rather than a low dose continually. The 50 mg dose was also bad for blood pressure when taken longer than 2 weeks (study below), plus I haven't seen results with people taking that low a dose for gender swaying. So you could be running the risk of raising his blood pressure anyway, while doing nothing for your sway.
