It certainly looks like a girl to me! Did you sway or have a preference?

Nope it's not crazy, because it sounds like you really wanted great pics that you could cherish and absolutely KNOW without a doubt what the gender was. When I had my elective gender scans at 14 wk 4 days the girl was really young.. younger than me, and she didn't seem that great. She saw the nub and at one point we all saw one shot of the legs open and there was nothing there. She took some crappy pics and she determined girl but was not able to see an underneath shot so she let us come back free of charge. The next week was the answer, absolutely no doubt. He was an OB and he'd been doing gender scans for years, and he took his time and took some very good pics for us. He even said out loud "It's my job to take really good pictures" If we could have afforded it we would have gotten the DVD but I had to have a gender reveal party instead. She was so dang adorable on the U/S.. It's so dang neat when their whole body fits on the screen! And those pics of her are my favorite. I had several ultrasounds because she was positioned so low.
But anyway....
For your peace of mind it's worth it, and this point in gestation is precious!!! So I say do it. It looks like your DD to me!Last edited by Butterfly Spirit; March 3rd, 2013 at 07:47 PM.

Thanks ladies! I got a buncha shots that I don't even.know what in the world they are. So frustrating. I've never had a stubborn baby during a.scan ever! So it was so frusterating, I wanted to.cry. she did let me go an hour over my time because the baby was so stubborn. she wasnt gonna let me leave til we knew the gender. That's why I went there.
I did not sway, my last boy was a failed sway. This pregnancy was an oopsy.

If you do go for another scan I would ask them if they can't determine gender can you go for another scan. I called two places and the first place I called and asked this question they said "well we have never had that happen". That set off a big red flag in my head because I know (like your experience) that baby doesn't always cooperate which makes me think they are just guessing because they don't see boy parts. The second place I called I asked the same question and they said of coarse I could come back in for a second scan. The tech that did my scan took a lot of pride in never having an incorrect gender. He also really took his time getting a really good potty shot before telling us the gender. He said he would rather us come back then to get a gender wrong.
I can totally understand where you are coming from. For me it was worth the money not to have to stress about the gender. It was weighing heavy on me and I know that can't be good for me or the baby. I say if it is stressing you out, keeping you up at night (like it did me), making you have crazy dreams, distracting you when you should be focused on other things then get another one done!

I paid for a gender scan early and she got a really good shot and was very thorough and I still didn't believe it. I think that it will just be hard to believe until they are here that you are getting your DG!
I also think that these places that just do gender are really good at it, it is all they look at. I was wary cause I had only had ultrasounds done for anatomy and NT testing, never just a scan because! So it felt less 'professional' but in a way I think that it was cause I was comparing it to other scans.
Your pics do look girly! I had my fetal anatomy (TWICE and the tech would not give me a definite answer) so I went back and paid for another scan and had it confirmed, I still won't believe it till she is born.

hey doll,
this sucks, i booked my gender scan before i realsied there were two in there and i'm now thinking i'll probably end up in the same position as you ;-S
I can understand why you want to go back maybe call them and ask if they could try again? if you were in there an hour sound like they tried pretty hard so frustrating after you've syked yourself up to find out.
i do agree with the other girls thou i think if it was a boy you'd be able to see something boyish ;-)

Thank you ladies.
Glory- I was thinking maybe it wE just me being in denial and that's why it didn't look that great to me but ny husband even feels the same way...he said he disnt really get what we were looking at. But then again we have never seen a girl ultrasound ever! So we had no idea what to look for. I posted these pics on an ultrasound website and the tech said girl, it just Jang 3 lineage because of the angle the baby was in won't show 3 lines fron that angle. she said they do not news to see 3 lines to see a labia. Which the baby was in a weird angle so that is why we didn't get great shots. I am starting to believe jts a girl but dobt wanba get nysekd too excited!
