I was admitted into the ER every week for a banana bag for the first 25 weeks of my pregnancy. I tried just lying in bed and sipping water or sprite before getting up, sitting up for 5 minutes before getting up (sudden movements can make it worse). Ginger can help, the smell of it would ironically make me nauseous. So hubby would infuse stuff with ginger and I'd be gone the entire time he made it. Acupuncture helped a tiny bit for me.

I was on phenegren for a while, and I couldn't work on it (the military doctor I went to actually had the balls to ask me if I "planned on working at all this pregnancy." He almost lost his balls that day and I refused to see him ever again (even on my deathbed and I made that clear). I was switched to zofran with a new doc. It just reduced the amount of times I got sick a day (probably halved it).

Still couldn't stay hydrated (nothing sat well on my stomach). I ate preggie pops, I actually like the Preggie Pop drops the best. I'd have one, while sipping a drink to try and get hydrated (yes I was on pedialyte pops too). It got to the point where my body had no more fat left to eat, and was eating my muscle. At this point they put me on Hagen Daz full fat ice-cream with protein powder and full fat milk added to make a milkshake. I had to have 3 giant ones a day, and if I continued to lose weight they were going to hospitalize me for the rest of my pregnancy (18 weeks)!

If you do get sick and none of the above helps at all, message me and I'll do everything I can to help you. Sidenote: the baby I was carrying was born perfectly healthy and is a rambunctious (stubborn and strong minded) 7 year old now.

awww AKMOMMY I could imagine being forced to eat any dairy gosh.....I am a pretty big lady and have always been about 15kg the only time I was ideal was after each pregnancy but I gained it back so so fast even with breastfeeding I was wondering if you ladies did too and if not how did you stop it? I found as soon as they popped out I was constantly starving and filling u on carbs and water... did you have the same thing when the baby came out?
    Hoping for a pink rainbow!

Drink more water? Most of the time dehydration is mistaken for hunger. And with nursing your fluids are constantly being drained.
Also, don't eat for too. 1800 cals, nothing more. I told myself I didn't want to gain after birth so I just watched what I ate and have maintained my weight.

Personally I found that water MADE me puke with DS 1. Anything was better than water for me.

I do not think 1800 cals is enough, I think you should discuss that with your doctor. The average woman needs 2000 cals just to maintain weight and then 250-300 cals beyond that (a little less in early pg, a little more in late pg)
