Well.... guess I should have explained more.........
Several months ago I was 170lbs and I have been working really hard to loose about 20+lbs. I love salt and if I have something with a tiny bit I need more. There is sodium in everything and I didn't realize how much I was eating until I started counting. I am now 150 and think I can loose another 10lbs before my attempt.
Also a few weeks ago my DS1s most recent food allergy test came in. He can't have dairy, gluten, corn (all corn products), beans (all +soy), fish, sesame, and peanuts..... I was so scared that I tossed a ton of foods that contained these things, except the Easter candy that he can't reach. DS1 is very underweight for his age and has eczema, asthma, and stomach problems so we are going 100% free of the stuff he can't have. I am not the kind of person who will tell him he can't have something and then eat it in front of him... I think it is cruel and a form of abuse, because my mom did that to my sibs and me growing up. So I eat what DS1 is allowed to eat. He has gained 1 lb in the last week (he has been 26lbs since he was 18mths old) I am so excited by 1lb.
So I have put limits on sodium and sugar for personnal reasons and I have banned dairy, gluten, corn, and beans from crossing the property line... DS1 doesn't care for fish, peanuts, or sesame so for now they are just out of reach.

You know, I also have observed that girl moms do eat a lot of sweets, because sweets = carbs and carbs = girls. But since we're trying for the best sway we possibly can and some of our bodies might be a little more "set" to produce boys than other people's, we are trying to be as thorough as we can in terms of diet and eliminate everything that could remotely sway blue (like chocolate and gelatin, which are in many candies, have qualities that may sway blue). We are also trying to limit our caloric intake meaning we have to watch the amount of candy we eat.
Somewhere on here a girl mentioned that with her girls she ate a lot of Diet Coke but then turned around and ate sugar sweetened candy at the same time - I actually think that's a pretty good combo for pink!

Chocolate has dairy which DS1 can't have the only chocolate I can find that is dairy-free is 4x's more then normal candy. And I have horrible at controlling myself so I would over do it and eat 5lbs in 5mins
I did eat a lot of sweets before DS2 so I don't want any right now.2007

Well, there are no magic foods that produce children of a particular gender when you eat them. I think candy is ok for both pink and blue and chocolate is actually better for blue.
For TTC a girl, eat sweets and carbs without a lot of protein. For TTC blue, eat sweets/carbs WITH protein.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

DS1 update... he was 31.6 lbs yesterday, we are so excited. My MIL came for the weekend and brought enough "special" candies for James, about 10lbs worth (mostly choc chips for cookies) but altogether it cost about $50. I wont eat any because it cost to much to get more
I also had the fun of trying to keep this sway stuff a secret because MIL wanted to know why I was not eat in the morning and limited/avoided foods she knows I love... I hope she just thinks it's some sort of crazy new diet!2007

Oh, I miss candy, too! Especially the chocolate. I've been sucking on a couple of sugar-free hard candies everyday just experience something sweet and to get me by. They have aspertame, but it appears that the main "sugar" is isomalt. Does anyone know if this is okay? I'm going to track down a box of Hot Tamales tomorrow - yum! I haven't had those in forever.
