Hi there Purple :-) I'm with lots of the other girl moms ... I was outside a TON with both of mine, usually with loads of sunscreen. DH too. So I think you're good to go this summer! How fun to have so many house projects to work on! I love stuff like that. Nice to have something you can accomplish and be outside to do it; unlike, oh, I don't know ... laundry. BOOOO to laundry!

Yes boo... I have to do a few loads today and put away the boys clothing. And also dishes suck.

This year is the best year for doing yard work... DS1 is 3 and he loves to help dig the dirt and pretend to use the power tools. DS2 takes two 2hr naps a day so we can do the work during that time. I am loving the work but can't wait to be done and just watch my boys play in the grass and pick fruits/veggies/herbs from the garden.

I am wondering because we spend a lot of time outside and I don't want to be left out. I know my boys were conceived in the early months of summer but for us we were only out in the evening sun for about 2hrs. It was about 60-70f degrees outside. This year we are finally getting to redoing our yard and plan to spend a lot more time in the sun. We are not going to use any air conditioning because I am hoping the summer heat will help to warm up hubbies boys.
    GREAT question!

FWIW I think it's better for pink to stay indoors for TTC pink to cut down on your Vit. D (and I was outside a LOT esp. with DS 1 and 3) but I can guarantee you there are both boys and girls born to women who were outdoors.

I think Atomic posted it somewhere, but I'll have to do some diggin' through the Stickies
Hahaha yes, Zivic, I do think that sunshine = sonshine for the most part BUT if your DH is baking his jewels in the summer heat, that can help reduce his sperm count!

This last winter was odd but it is finally starting to warm up this week and we have so much to finish on the house. Winter this year was October-last week with some really good snow storms, lots of rain, strong cold winds, and even a few tornados.

Most of the yard is nearly complete but we still have a 12x4ft wall to build, fence around boat to redo, plants to transfer, rock to relocate, and we are going to fertilize the soil so it will be ready for grass next year. I would also like to get the house painted because a pink house is driving me nuts, yes I do not care for a lot of pink! The best news is we already have everything because the old owner was a plant nut so far we have only bought rebar for the wall. We have even given a lot of stuff away and will have more to get rid of when we are done.
I figure, swaying has to fit into your lifestyle, not the other way around. Enjoy!!

Well it seems like a lot of sunscreen wearers so maybe I will wear pants, long shirt, hat, and sunblock... I will be doing a lot of work and I burn in about 15mins so I should protect my skin.

Great idea! I am deathly allergic to sunscreen and never wear it, just so you know.

I am allergic to preservitives, perfumes and dyes from all products... a friend makes her own sunblock and started making it for me and my boys (DS1 has the same problem) and I have had no problems the times I wore it. I just have to remember to wear it everyday.

I think there are recipes online for making sunblock... I just don't know where.
