I would never in a million years have given my mom a kiss when I was school age and my MIL, who actually does have a daughter, has often remarked with jealousy about how affectionate my sons were with hugging and kissing when her son and daughter weren't that way at all. so I'm not sure that it necessarily comes down to gender on that. Sometimes I think we focus everything in terms of gender when really it's just that some kids do X,Y,Z and others don't.

I agree with the kisses thing. It totally depends on the kid and not the gender!! Also many older school aged kids will avoid it no matter how affectionate they are before or at home...at school or in public it's just not a "cool" thing to do.

Dreaming....I can't tolerate milk so I eat I small full fat yogurt a day. Recently I found a full fat Bulgarian yogurt that is fantastic!
One a day is still something. I don't drink milk at all anymore. I usually dump the yogurt in my smoothie with spinach , strawberries & a few other thing & drink my cares away!
good luck!

Thanks ladies, tbh, I've weighed myself since and have actually lost weight!?!
Wanted to comment about one gender being more affectionate than the other. I don't know where I stand with this but both my girls I have to ask for kisses most of the time and I see boys at DD1's school clinging to their mothers yet DD1 asked us, strike that told us to go on her first day at preschool!!! I was devastated! And it looks like DD2 will be same. Its lush having confident girls but it still makes me wonder if a boy would be same or clingy (wonder - worry, pick one)Plus-size SAHM of 2 c-section babies
