Tell DH to get a vasectomy before the baby comes. It's an easier procedure for him that it would be for you, and Essure is getting some scary complications

What sort of complications? I have two friends who have gotten this done, they've had zero complications and love it! I've read a lot about it, and other than the typical risks that come with any procedure, it seemed completely safe to me. At my OB practice, all 4 of the doctors there recommend this procedure over getting your tubes tied, for several reasons, and all of them seem very confident that it's a safe procedure. Just curious what you may have heard/read differently...

I spoke to my Dr about this and he said that the success rate for female sterilisation is a lot lower than male and he says it's a lot less hassle for the man too lol xx

I heard that getting your tubes tied immediately after birth lowers the success rate. This was a few years ago though.

I know it can cause more painful, heavy periods.
