Body fat is the true concern, not BMI. I am very small-boned with very little muscle and most of the time my BMI is 16-18 - it is almost never as high as 18.5. I've had my BMI in the 14s and I still Oed regularly but I had a short LP. However I have high body fat % for my size (24-25% at 17 BMI), so even at my very lightest, my body fat is enough to sustain O (16% is the lowest BF I've had, in the 14s).

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks for all the responses. It seems like my ovulation won't get screwed up for a LONG time at the rate I'm going (1 lb/week), BMI 22.

maiden - I wish I knew my body fat %, I didn't realize how much that played into things.
    DS1 (2012)
Due 7/13/2015 ! Swayed pink and I am blessed to be with and (TWINS!)!

Calipers can give you a rough body fat estimate, though they tend to underestimate, by as much 10%. Most gyms have them or you can buy them pretty cheaply. Would you say you are muscular?

I think it's more than just body fat because I have had some people lose ovulationg when they had a pretty high BMI when they lost quite a lot of weight all at once. IT's not common but it does happen.

Oh yeah, the shock of rapid weight loss can be very stressful on the body.
