Oh gosh no. I really appreciate your input! I wanted to hear different sides, and didn't expect everybody have the same answer. I still have not made a decision to be honest. I have been fitting the exercise in for the past two weeks so far, and my summer classes end next Tuesday, so I feel like it might be easier to work it into my schedule after that. I figure I have a couple of days to really come to a decision, because I am still 6 weeks out. Thank you again!

I had to kick exercise as well. I exercised a ton with both DSs.
I did exercise as recommended for two weeks, and I immediately muscled up. I guess that's what my body type does.
I don't want to knock up my T, so I'm just dropping.Luckiest mama to a(2011) and my sweet

I am skipping exercise too - spent January to June doing a body transformation challenge with hubby and lost weight whilst gaining loads of muscle as was lifting weights 6 days per week. I need to lose some of this muscle!!!
In 4 weeks crazy how I have stayed same weight but look bigger as flabbier!

Do what feels right to you of course but I do want to point something out here ladies - it is VERY difficult for women to gain muscle mass, full stop. And it's impossible if you are losing weight. What happens is that you lose body fat and your muscles do get a bit more toned (not more muscle, just better defined) so it looks like you are getting buffer, when really you are just uncovering that which was always there.
If you're losing weight on a lower protein diet, there is no way you're gaining muscle. I would not skip exercise because of getting more defined, that does NOT equate to gaining muscle.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Exercise Decision....
Yes I understand all that - losing fat will just make you look leaner anyway.
I had my body composition measured properly in a machine and so I know what I gained and lost... I am just someone who is naturally muscley (is that even a word?) anyway so 6 months of weights every day did not turn me into Arnie but deffo increased muscle mass.
Until I started LE diet I was eating almost 200g protein a day!!!

I just wanted to update that I made a decision here. I have decided to keep the exercise. I love to run and DH and I have gotten into hiking and I really don't want to have to avoid those things at the risk of doing it at boy frequency. I would rather fit in the extra couple of days a week someway somehow. Thank you everybody for your advice and experiences!

Clarification, it's if you are losing weight on a lower protein diet. Women just cannot gain muscle doing that. Eating 200 g protein is a different matter entirely. Exercise does not exist in a vaccuum, it's the big picture of diet + exercise.
