I work at a medical center and the doctors also insist that patients on antibiotics eat yogurt everyday until therapy is done.

I haven't ever had probiotics recommended either but I do usually eat yogurt and lately (when not swaying) I've been way into raw milk kefir.

I just ovulated last night, like clock work since I only ovulate on full moons, even though I was only CD 11, so weird how that works. I will begin yogurt and acidophilus tomorrow again. I have IBS so my stomach is easy messed up, and I don't want to take 3 weeks to recover.

I wonder if you struggled with secondary IF if a dr would give you clomid? That would help your sway and get you pregnant faster, hopefully.
I can actually get Clomid rather easily. My DD was a failed IVF converted to IUI baby. I am suppose to do IVF again in November if I don't get pregnant on my own, I was actually thinking about asking for Clomid for next cycle.

On another note about probiotics, my DD surgeon is studying probiotics and gut flora in one of the biggest research studies ever done on this topic. He fully supports the use of them after antibiotics.

Yogurt is good for upper digestive tract but does not always survive the stomach acid. when on antibiotics it is best to also take additional probiotic formulated to survive stomach acid
