I don't know where you live but in the uk you have to have been Ttc for a year before the doctor will give you clomid

Every Dr. is different but you could try w/the vague approach of "We've been actively TTC for 6 mos straight" and see where that takes you. It could be that it's all the Dr. needs to hear.

I guess if I don't get pregnant this month, I will call to see what they suggest. Our attempt is next week so I am trying not to stress I plan to not do JnD this time. I'll keep using the RepHresh and do parts of the diet.

Hi cm, you may have already seen it but atomic said she would drop, in this order 1. Timing 2. Jellies 3. J and d. Don't know if that's useful to you, but thought I'd let you know!!!

Thank you swish! I would love to have the confidence to drop the cutoff but I'm just too nervous to since that's how I got my DS's. But I am dropping the JnD and keeping the RepHresh but no jellies. I am also not going to use Zyrtec but (maybe TMI) I have had a lot of CM already, leading up to ovulation. But I have to stick with a solid plan, however any advice is appreciated very much!!!

Hey hun, just wanted to tell you GOOD LUCK! I've been at it for a year now, with 2 m/c thrown in there for fun. I will tell you that I conceived my DDs on O+12 (unintentionally).....I was doing the cycle method, and I was sure that I had Oed and my egg was gone, so I know it was late in the game. Also, my DH was a frequent releaser in a solo manner, if you kwim, but we just dtd one time. I had just had a chemical for the first, and it was the first cycle after and first time we dtd, and the second kid came about from my just getting home from a trip for 2 weeks. I KNOW he was, erm, releasing while I was gone frequently. I hope that helps, I don't know if you ttc pink gals do the O+12 much anymore, but that was my timing both times.

Oh, and about the Clomid- I just took my first round. I told my very cool lady OBGyner that I wanted to try it. She gave me the twin talk also, and even said that since I do O on my own, it might even be a bit higher chance for me, but she said it was worth a try for a few months. I don't know if your doctor is open to that kind of insistence from his/her patients, but you could ALSO fudge a bit and say you are not sure you are ovulating....they may want to do a progesterone test about a week after you supposedly O to see if you did, but nothing wrong with that. But my doc's thinking was that MAYBE it would help my ovaries put out a good mature egg versus a crap one that keeps getting me m/cs....although that is not proven in medicine to be a reason for Clomid, it still was worth a shot to both my doc and I.

I hope that helps. Keep your chin up, CM! xxoo

I wanted to say that I got pregnant with my first 5 boys by dtd the day before o and the day of o.With ds 6 we did frequent (with condom) and then did our attempt with a 2.5 day cutoff. I really think timing is of little importance imo.I used to feel like i got my boys because we bd so close to O but having my last child really changed my mind and made me realize that other things are way more of a factor.

Thank you for taking the time to share your stories! I tried O+12 one month, but would completely be open to trying again. Lola, I really hope the Clomid works for you this month! We were both TTC at the same time earlier this year! My DH's work schedule has made him less frequent, but we haven't abstained either. I think when you try for more than a few months, you do get to the point where you are really ready to be PG, so it's easier to drop certain things, even though you know they are important.

Queen, I have to start by saying you have quite a handsome group of brothers! I completely agree about the timing thing, I am just too nervous to DTD any closer. I have always heard "do the opposite of what you did to get your boys/girls" and I just can't muster up the nerve. I have eaten potatoes 2 x this week and a normal amount of protien, so I have things working aginst me. I will probably end up just throwing it all out the window at some point, I'm just not ready to yet But I will make an appointment about Clomid if I don't get PG this month. I pray and hope we all get our DG soon!!!!!

I do agree with Queen, even though I did O+12 both times, I have seen enough FF charts and personal stories to believe that timing doesn't really matter also. I think what matters is having hostile cm, a low T level, and "malnourished" environment....and I had all of that when I conceived my DDs. Wishing you so much luck, it's about time for us to get our bfps, huh?
