Tips for dealing with gender disappointment at the scan

I was planning on asking the tech to give me a nub shot and a potty shot so I could try to reconcile both images to ascertain gender. For what I have read, a nub shot at 14 weeks is pretty accurate. I called the place, gave them my due date and they told me that based on my due date, they could schedule the appoinment on Dec. 14th, so that's what I did.

Hopefully, the Harmony test will confirm it. If I get the harmony results first, then obviously, I'll cancel the ultrasound.

I would just hate to see you panic because the potty shot shows something not girly looking there only to find out it was a false alarm

Well, just got my Harmony results. It's a healthy (yay!!!) baby boy...... well, it looks like my dreams for a girl are over. Sigh.... it just wasn't meant to be, I guess.
