Sounds good, though if you O late (past CD17) on 50mg, I'd adk for 100mg the next cycle. Or a switch to Femara.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I know I have a lot working for me with the clomid and such but I still want to do the best I can. That way when it's all said and done if we get a boy I'll know I did all I could and it just wasn't meant to be.
Exercise has been a great tactic for us. I cannot really pin it down if it is REALLY that much better than no exercise + strong diet though, because at least some of the people who don't exercise were not real committed in other ways...the two groups are NOT random samples, if that makes sense.

No, you do not need to stop painting. I want you guys to continue living your lives and so on. It ~may~ be extra beneficial for you to do exercise though because you are doing the painting, BUT as long as you're ok on diet you are good to go.

My second cycle, if I don't get preg the first cycle, they want to do a follicle study. Not sure why but that is what they said and I can't deny I am curious myself. They may not bump me up until after that... I don't know. Last time I was on it I took 50 mg and always O'd CD 20+... about the same as I do anyway. We'll see how it plays out though.

I don't know that I could afford Femara. I hear it is expensive. My ins says they don't cover any fertility pills but then my $20 clomid script only cost me about $6 so they obviously covered part of it. Since I don't know if they will cover Femara I wouldn't even ask my doc about it unless I know I could afford it w/o coverage because if he writes me a script for that then he won't write me a script for clomid, then if I can't afford the Femara I don't have anything.

As you know I am struggling a bit with the diet portion. Does exercise make a stronger sway when your diet is less than perfect? Or will I have to add more fat, carbs, cals etc which is already hard to do and keep in balance?

We are veering into the land of the crystal ball where there are options that I honestly don't know what is best. There is the risk with starting exercise that it may make your T (or whatever) go up temporarily before dropping back down again. But really, we do not even KNOW that testosterone sways, and even if it does sway, if the exercise is swaying pink because of hormones or something else entirely.

The Clomid is such a great sway tactic, I think you should just do what feels right to you and rely on the Clomid to carry the day.

yes diet and exercise work very much in concert, and I feel people who are iffy on diet are well advised to exercise, and if you really can't exercise, try to stay good on diet. But if there is a risk that you may lose too much weight doing both, it's better to just pick one or the other.

FWIW I got my DD without exercise.

No, no chance of that lol. Like I said I have more than a few pounds to lose and I have been stalled for months plus my last preg I gained 5 pounds in the short time I was preg that I can't shake Weight loss is NOT a concern for me... not even at the bottom of the list lol. I tend to gain a lot when preg (60 pounds- all within the last trimester- with my first, 40 with my second and I didn't quite make it to 21 weeks with him and I think about 15-20 with my third the whole preg) so the lower I start the better off I am... I hope lol.

I definitely think you should request 100mg then.

If you're struggling with the diet, I'd focus most on 1. Not snacking, max 3 meals a day, 2. Keeping overall fat low and eating more pink fats, less blue fats, 3. Keeping portions small-moderate.
