What is the DRV of Zinc for DH?

In the UK, most Zinc supps are sold at 15mg however I noticed in the US Zinc supps seem to be sold in 50mg pills, almost as standard?

And the more obvious question... why do not exceed 100% no matter what?

It's good to come to terms with the possibility of an opposite but I suspect in reality very few of us are really truly TOTALLY okay with having an opposite. Obviously it's great to do the hard work on your gender desire and try to get it under control but I just don't want you to expect too much from yourself.

This may actually be a bit of a blessing in disguise as it gives you some time to get your head right. You are still in the hard part with your (totally adorbs BTW) little girl and it may to some extent be aggravating your overall emotional state for now. Having a little baby is TOUGH! they get so much more fun once they're over about 18 months.

Great question Zodiac, thanks for asking.

The 50 mg zinc pills that are sold in the US are meant mainly for short term use to help make colds get better faster. They aren't meant to be used day in and day out as a supplement. For men, the recommended amount of zinc is 15-22 mg. Men who are having fertility challenges may need to up this to 25 or even 30 (altho I personally prefer sticking with 15-22 range). Zinc, being a mineral can accumulate in your system and 50 mg over time can actually build up to harmful levels. It also is notorious for causing stomach upset and diarrhea (as anyone who has ever tried taking it for a cold can testify to - it often ends up doing nothing for your cold and then also gives ya the poopz). So it is best to just stick with the 100% recommendation and additionally eat good food to make sure he's getting enough both supplemental and naturally.
