Thank you for the replies Maiden and MyByC
This last cycle we were dtd E3D all the way up until AF. Unfortunately, (if I assume lp was 14 days) I ended up with an attempt 2 days before O and the day after O, so I'm not really surprised with a bfn when I take that into account.
Is dtd every other day better than SMEP?
Thanks for the input about femara, maiden! I guess I am most worried about femara: 1) because I only started clomid for swaying purposes and 2) I don't know much about femara at all but have heard it great lowers changes of multiples comparatively to clomid

Femara works the same way but is much safer, fewer side effects, can be used long term (you're only supposed to do 3-6 cycles of Clomid according to some). And yes lower incident of multiples.
O-2 is actually ideal timing. It doesn't get better than that!Last edited by maidentomother; February 14th, 2016 at 09:09 PM.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Femara is beter anyway so no worries. It works similar to Clomid but a recent study showed it may even work better (for pink)
I do not have an essay because it isn't approved for fertility and many doctors won't prescribe it, if yours will you're lucky.
I would ALWAYS use 50 unless you're having utrasounds to monitor how many eggs u release
Either SMEP or e3d plus one both good odds conception. I think e3d may be less stressful (SMEP can be kind of an intense experience LOL)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

DO NOT do every other day. I know it's kind of hard to understand but every other day is BOTH more blue friendly but ALSO lower odds of conception. If you want to get pregnant fast, then PLEASE do SMEP or e3/4d plus one. Every other day, you have the risk of blue but without the benefits of upping odds of getting pregnant.
Example, doing every other day it's totally possibe to end up with an attempt that's too early to get pregnant from, and then only one viable attempt in fertile window (unlike the other two methods which are guaranteed to be at least two). It's worst of both worlds!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks ladies!
I am currently on cd12. I took the 50mg of clomid on days 3-7. I've decided we will dtd E3D plus an extra attempt if I get a +opk. My OB agrees with you atomic, that EOD decreases sperm account and (therefor) fertility and his preference is E3D anyways.
I am feeling much calmer about the possibility of femara next month; I just want a healthy baby now! FX this is the cycle!!Honeybug xo

Good luck maiden! I would love for us to be in the same due date group!! I think it's very smart for you to alternate months as clomid stays in the system!

I sure hope you get your much awaited BFP; you too Honeybug!
I love Thanksgiving too, and my sweet Aaron was born 11/21 [emoji4]! He has his own day; his bday will never fall on Thanksgiving. I really love having a fall baby. My other boys have early summer and late summer birthdays so it was nice to change it up a bit. I would have liked to have had a spring baby, but alas that is not in my cards.
