Ooo that makes total sense, maidentomother! Thanks. Yes, I was thinking my arms looked 'sculpted' but on second thoughts, maybe they just look scrawny! Ha

My old PT used to tell me never to train longer than 60 minutes at the gym otherwise I'd get catabolic - meaning your muscle eats itself. So I agree, duration is more important for muscle loss

It is next to impossible to gain muscle exercising 60 min. every day unless you are eating a massive amount of calories. It IS impossible for women to gain muscle with LE Diet + exercise. Just can't happen. It's hard for women to gain much muscle anyway without benefit of chemical enhancements.

all that happens is the padding disappears. reveals what lies beneath even if what lies beneath is now smaller.

I also want you guys to understand that the important thing is doing what WORKS. I find sometimes people get so hung up on the theoretical ideas about why these things work that they lose sight of doing what DOES.

Shrinking/growing muscle mass is a prime example of this. I GUESS that is what sways. I do not know this for a fact, and it may very well be some other aspect or effect of exercise that is doing the actual heavy lifting. We KNOW exercise sways because we see it in our stats that it does. I see way too many people scared to exercise or giving up exercise because they're worried about growing muscle, when that is just a theory. If you can, do exercise. We have seen it work. Don't worry about the muscle.

^ I agree! I've been doing my cardio on the exercise bike since August last year 4-6x/week for 60 minutes and do about 20 miles each workout but I have no muscle! I'm skinny but I'm flabby. My behind has pretty much packed its bags and left and my chicken legs are still twigs. lol
