So I have been for another scan, the nurse found something on the scan, went to fetch a doctor and Who took over scanning me, the nurse was pointing out the thing on the screen to the doctor, saying "I cannot make out what it is".
she thought it might be an ectopic pregnancy at 1st. After the doctor took a really long good look at what ever it was, she said its a bit of free flowing fluid, it's not inside the ovary, womb or tubes and nothing untoward is going on. No developing follicles at all, but my lining is at the thickest it's been since I started having scans (over 8mm thick)
They now have stopped this cycle as nothing is growing so I have to go back on Friday to see the doctor. The plan on that day would to be start a new cycle, which would either be;
I will take prova then either.....
Metaformin and clomid again which I don't think is the right treatment.
Or
Injections where I need to be closely monitored
Not sure if I should risk asking for the clomid again and going through all this again or just go straight to injections which do you all think is better?
I know clomid sways pink but does metaformin and the injections?Last edited by Beautifulrainbow; February 23rd, 2016 at 07:27 PM.

I'm sorry it's not going to plan

Metformin is supposed to have some pink sway. What are you on? Im taking 1500mg per day (over 3 doses). It is supposed to take some time to kick in, my cycles didn't have time to shorten but it stopped my issue with mid cycle bleeding.
I don't think clomid is right for you so maybe the injections would be better? Clomid still sways the following cycle so that good at least.

I'm not on metaform at all atm purple but it was discussed as a possibility, I have only ever had mid cycle bleeding once and that was last cycle that coupled with a thin lining, and after that the doc put me on the bcp for 21 day and that seems to have done the trick for this cycle.
I'm really wanting to have a baby ( girl if poss) by the end of 2016 and I have worked out for that to happen I must conceive before end of March.
So I'm feeling that this is my last chance so I really need it to work if metaformin take a while to work I cannot see it happening.Last edited by Beautifulrainbow; February 24th, 2016 at 01:34 PM.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm still hoping they are wrong. ?.but if a third scan confirms I'd go ahead with further treatment.
I definitely think Metformin sways pink. I think injections either sway slightly blue or are neutral at best, but if you need them you need them! Plus the Clomid will still be in your system swaying pink for you. I agree more Clomid doesn't seem a great option considering. Did they not mention Femara? I would ask to try that next, it often works in Clomid resistant women and may sway pink even more than Clomid. You could also do Met, Femara, AND injections.

- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Femara has a very low fate of multiples, much lower than Clomid. Injections however are how you get most of the higher order multiples and has a much higher rate. But it does vary alot depending on dose and how you respond. I had 4 eggs (3 from my possibly damaged dominant right ovary, 1 from my lazy left ovary) in the one cycle I did of Gonal-F injections. I had 5 days of low dose, 1 day of moderate dose. When used with Femara they often do only 1-3 days of low dose injections and the chance of multiples is lower. I was a really good responder and have high AMH and high AFC so my response may not be typical.

Friday 26th February update! Cd21
So I have been to see the doctor this morning and she won't start a new cycle, she want to wait until I get my period, which I the argued that is not going to be for along time, because if Im not developing an folical, I'm not going to ovulate any time soon so not going to get my period. She eventually agreed to scan me again in 2 weeks time.
The treatment plan now is she wants to try 150mg clomid with metaformin and wasn't going to give me them until I had my scan, again I said "I heard it takes a while to work" (Thankyou purple) "isn't it better then if I started it sooner" then agreed I can take that home with me today.
I questioned femara, and she said no she wants to fully exhaust the clomid 1st and there is 2 more options before we get to femara. She said injections 1st the another drug beginning with an m but can't remember the name now sorry.
She doesn't want to try femara because it's a new drug and they don't know what the effect on genetics are yet!
After this discussion she said it was up to me if I wanted to do clomid or injections, because she said "considering that the 100mg didn't work the likelihood is the 150mg is not going to work either" but she really wants to exhaust the clomid 1st, I have to make a decision by 2weeks today whether I do clomid 150mg or I do injections.
Dilemma, CLOMID 100mg didn't work, INJECTIONS sways blue, also don't like needles, what do I do?
Doesn't look like I'm having a baby this year

I'm glad you pushed her! How annoying. That's very frustrating about the Femara, but unfortunately many drs have that opinion of it, including mine. It's so stupid bc it's SAFER than Clomid, but there's no arguing with most drs.
I would do the injections. We don't know that they sway blue, that's just MY opinion, and I don't think it's a strong effect. I did a cycle of injections and will do them again most likely. You can't have a daughter without an egg! The needle is tiny and the injections barely hurt. They're not like shots or blood draws, which I've had terrible experiences with.
You could O before you next see her, especially if you start the Metformin. If you're doing the diet & daily cardio you should have a great shot at a girl.
