I have been talking about it with my husband for years (mostly Ingender, tho) but just recently has he started to listening.I just recently started talking about swaying with my mom, my sister, and another friend, which all reacted in the same way ..."Isn't it up to your husband if you have a boy or girl?"... So, then I explained the maternal dominance theory and it was like light bulbs for them, lol. I also talk about how I lived a very 'girly' lifesytle...diet and so forth & how it was very different with my son.
I am a pretty closed off person, naturally. We are also going for #5and this time I will only talk my sister, mom and husband about it. We also probably won't announce until we know the gender, either. I don't want to hear "I hope Gavin (my oldest only boy) gets a brother this time"... blah blah blah. But, yea, if we get a boy I wont care who knows or what they think of swaying.

Only me and my husband know. We have in the past mentioned swaying/pgd etc and it was met with less than complimentary comments. Common themes are "but theres people who cant have any kids you should be grateful for what you get" and "how can you do that when you know ??? is going through IVF for the 3rd time" etc. So its easier to keep it to ourselves. Especially after one failed sway. People are ignorant and unless they are in the position of many of us they say the wrong thing and cannot possibly understand. If you go public you will need a thick skin to deal with the stupidity from people xxx

Have you kept your sway secret?
I wont tell anybody either except DH off course. I think it is best to keep it is a secret, and if you get your DG you can consider telling friends and family how you got it.

We haven't discussed it with anyone. I know those around us would think its a waste of time. I also don't want the comments from people if it doesn't work.
