I don't think it's true that girl mums are all super skinny. I know many who are very overweight, but I guess either of those aren't best for fertility which may be what's swaying pink.

I have always been thin average but always pear shaped. I am completely flat chested and have a tiny waist, but "baby got back" as a certain hip-hop song says.

DS 1: I was very active and fit. I used to run all the time before a knee injury. I had bigger boobs then, too. My waist to hip ratio was more than 10 inches, though. I had more lean muscle mass.

DS 2: I was thinner than with my 1st, but was less active. Same sized boobs. Waist to hip ratio was smaller than with the 1st...around 10-11 inches.

Now I'm totally flat up top () and have a big booty. I'm moderately active. I eat low carb for now to try to control weight gain from PCOS. When it comes to swaying for a girl, I'm going to have to re-evaluate diet very carefully.

Both of my grandmothers had hour glass figures although one was more petite than the other.
My paternal grandmother had 2 boys then 2 girls.
My maternal grandmother (extremely tall and chesty, but still hourglass figure) had 2 girls.

I inherited this pear shape from my mother and she had 1 girl and 2 boys.

My experience has been that the people I know who are extremely thin and exercise like maniacs, and also who are super heavy have mostly girls and everyone in between has mostly boys, except for people who smoke who seem to just have girls regardless of their body type. The other confusing thing I've seen is a thin person who is muscular (and heavier than you think they are) who has boys and also I have noticed - NOT TRYING TO OFFEND - that women who are in recovery from eating disorders have way more boys even though they are often still super thin.

I'm pretty fit and can go for a run or an exercise class without a problem, but I rarely actually do that. My boobs aren't massive but they're not tiny either! I don't know anybody in real life with 3 or more of one gender!
    I have big calves too!

You know something else I have noticed is that leg size overall can indicate gender ratio. When I see a lady in the store who's thin with regular legs she has boys but if her legs are really thin, it's girls for hte most part.

Oh yeah and to answer the q, I am 5-4 and small/med. boned with a relatively small chest (except when BFing!) but I carry a lot of weight and I have big legs/rear and tiny on top. I go between 125 and 135 regularly. There were a couple times where I was an exercise-aholic but I never TTC during those times. WHenever I got pg I was doing moderate exercise.

Interesting...I have big calves too! I also have very short legs and an extremely long torso (though I'm short overall) - I don't know if that's relevant.

OMG, I have that too! I remember when we used to line up in height order at dance classes I was one of the shortest and then when we sat down I was one of the tallest!!
