So far I have had a late preterm delivery and three miscarriages, and a recent TSH of 2.86.
I am hoping that once I can explain that, the dr will at least consider treating me. My fear is that he will feel uncomfortable overriding my regular doctor(s), but if I can reduce my risk of more miscarriages I have to try.

Thanks everyone for your support, it means a lot.
Can either your obgyn or this doctor refer you to an endocrinologist? My obgyn suspected my thyroid was to blame for my symptoms and referred me to the endocrinologist. They definately can do the proper testing. Good Luck!
