I think abstaining may increase risk of miscarriage so I would have DH release on his own every 2-4 dsys or eith you using a condom.

Even if you're already thin, it's really, really important you do the proper LE diet. It's especially important that you keep fat and protein now, and you should be reducing overall cals too if possible. Diet is the most important, strongest sway factor and it's NOT just about red meat, FAR from it.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks Maiden. We will do frequent release if abstaining ups a risk of miscarriage there is no way I'm risking it seeing as I've only recently suffered one.

I will do more research into the LE diet then, I was just worried about losing too many calories with being already thin and wrecking ovulation but I need to do all I can to hopefully get a daughter x

I have always been underweight, average BMI of 17, and I've been on the LE for the better part of over 2 years. I've just maintained my starting weight. I've never lost O. There are tons of slim ladies on the LE. The only ones who lose O were WAY too strict eating crazy low cals. In your case I might start at 1800 cals, and focus on the low fat and low protein aspects.

If you aren't trying for a year than I wouldn't worry about it, don't start dieting now!! That's ages away and I would worry you'd actually get used to the diet in that amount of time.

Here is the short version of LE Diet. It's much more than red meat. What you are saying means to me you don't even understand what LE Diet even is so I strongly recommend having a look at it http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...l-version.html Contrary to popular belief it is NOT a starvation diet in any way and anyone who loses weight, up calories. That is FINE!! All the limits are is just the lower limit of what reputable sources call a healthy pre-pregnancy diet. What really matters is not some random calorie intake but that you are eating less (particularly less animal protein and fat) than you WERE. Don't worry about what anyone else did or didn't do, focus on your OWN diet and lifestyle and moving that in a more pink-friendly direction. Switching from red meat to chicken does NOTHING as they are both massive sources of animal protein. But cutting back on animal protein (even if you NEVER get into the range of LE Diet, let's say you're eating 90 and end up at 70g) will STILL sway pink for you. Focus on your lifestyle and changes you can make.

While there are definitely exceptions, most of the people who lost O were people who insisted on starting off at either the minimum 1200-1500 cals (which I want only like 3% of people eating that little) or even less than that, or who refused to increase calories even when weight flew off, or were eating barely any fat. You need a minimum of 30 g of fat a day and you can go as high as 60 g and still be in LE Diet range. DO NOT cut out fat all together and it's actually a good idea to start off higher like 1800 cals, 50-60 g fat and protein, and then you can drop over time. Starting off eating 800 cals, 0 g fat, and 20 g protein - it isn't LE Diet and isn't allowed!
