Ok, I just want to point something out here. You say "all 4 of my boys were either O day, 1, 2,3 days before." Do you see what I'm getting at here?? Timing is not helping you LOL. Only O day is supposed to sway blue. 2 and 3 days before are meant to sway pink!! Something in your life is blue friendly and it is NOT the day you had sex on.
Timing has been debunked. Practically all of us on here have 2,3,4 or more timing opposites (both pink and blue) and studies have proven it doesn't work. You could very well go on from now till the end of time BD 4 days before you ovulate and never get pregnant from that.
Can you elaborate more on what you think the girl diet really even is?? Many people can't stick to it because they think they have to be uber strict when they don't at all. LE Diet should be very easy to stick with, and if it isn't, then we just tweak it to make it even easier. The important thing is not that you follow some diet to the letter, it's that you are eating differently than you were when you got your boys and there are a lot of very easy to implement changes you can make that will really help up your odds iwthout making you totally miserable.![]()

We read both Shettles and the one by Hazel Chesterman which said at least 3 days away from ov for a girl which is what I meant, but we've never actually made it further away than 3 days due to breastfeeding and having irregular cycles. I'm not sure what my diet was like with the boys...just ate whatever I wanted lol. I do have a sweet tooth...does that sway boy? I don't eat much meat, don't drink, don't have much caffeine...at most we would have the done the deed twice during fertile period. Hubby does not have the stamina for frequent sex! lol. We were going to try abstaining for a week then have sex once during my fertile period and use a vinegar douche beforehand & hot bath for hubby...does that sound girl-friendly? It's the low cal/sugar/protein and starving til midday which was driving me crazy!
Oh and I usually have about 4 days of copious EWCM around ov...does this have anything to do with being serial boy makers? LolLast edited by Mummyof4boys; August 11th, 2016 at 04:54 AM.

Off the bat, I'd wonder if you were just never getting the odds in your favor based on both of your lifestyles, EWCM not withstanding, but I also wonder how much you were eating? I wonder if your caloric intake, even with a more LE diet, had an impact?

Timing has been debunked. It's far and away the most studied aspect of gender swaying and scientists have done tons of studies using cutting edge technology that was not invented when Shettles or Chesterman wrote their books. The latest was in May of 2016 and it was a meta-analysis that looked at all the studies done in retrospect, including some of the ones used by those guys, and when ovulation was actually determined correctly it proved yet again that timing did not sway. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html Additionally it proved that DTD 4,5,6 days before O had such vanishingly small odds of conception that for many people they would have to go on till forever never conceiving if they actually used those methods, and additionally indicated that most of the people who claimed in the studies to have conceived from BD on those days had actually ovulated earlier than they thought.
But, I get that I can't convince anyone of that. If you have to do timing, no longer than a 3 day cutoff, and have only one attempt. Abstain has really not seemed to help, and since your odds of conception with 3 day cutoff will be pretty lwo to start with, instead of doing abstain I'd suggest having hubby do regular release every 2-4 days and then doing one attempt with a 3 day cutoff.
Drinking and coffee have both been extremely successful sway tactics. I know the "old school" sway diets have them as swaying blue, but they are wrong and we've proved that they are wrong. Not saying you should use them if you choose not to, but just that your idea that this is somehow evidence your diet was swaying pink because you weren't, is not supported by the facts. I can't comment on your diet overall as I don't really know what it was. LE Diet is 1500-1800 cals a day, 40-50 g protein, 30-60 g fat. A lot of people think it is a starvation diet that they can't stick to, but it's because they aren't even doing LE Diet, they're being overly restrictive.
I am personally not a fan of douches but again that's of course at your discretion. I would skip the hot bath for DH or at the least try it a month or two and then drop it. It will prob. lower odds of conception too far with the cutoff + the douche.
Lots of EWCM does seem to be linked with more boys conceived.Last edited by atomic sagebrush; August 18th, 2016 at 01:21 PM.

Is it coffee or caffeine that sways pink? We don't drink coffee but hubby drinks loads of tea which I always tell him to stop drinking a couple weeks before we try to conceive thinking caffeine sways boy...
The reason I figured he'd just abstain and do one attempt is because he can't do the frequent releases as he just doesn't have the stamina for more than a couple attempts lol
Thanks for all the advice!

We don't know for sure, but it sure seems like it's actual coffee and not the caff (OR there are compounds in tea that sway blue DESPITE the caff.) Tea seems to be blue-friendly for reasons we can only guess at. I got my 4 boys with tea and switched to coffee and got my girl.
You don't have to do the frequent releases. That is what I was trying to describe above. Have him do regular release instead, every 2-4 days. Neither abstain nor the FR has been working for us, and both of them really cut odds of conception by a lot. So if you're sold on timing, ok, but drop the abstain/FR and go to reg. release instead to make sure he has enough troops to survive the 3 days until the egg shows.!!! That makes sense. Ive switched to coffee and hubby and I starting drinking alcohol again, which is so different to our normal way of life, but clearly healthy living hasn't worked for us in the past
and I've gone back to LE diet but not too extreme like before lol and already lost a little weight..fingers crossed for pink!! And I've seriously gone off timing..:it's driving me crazy especially with an irregular cycle from breastfeeding :/
Thanks for everything!
