It IS weird and that's why it's taken me so long to give up on LR. Because when something goes from being that good (and that was during a time period where overall we were getting our lowest results since we hadn't figured out about the one attempt yet and so anything that seemed to be working during that time, I am inclined to trust more) to that bad, my inclination is to chalk that up to a statistical quirk, but it's been going on SO long now that I"m starting to wonder if the statistical quirk was the GOOD results and not the bad ones! :/ But by every theory of swaying LR should sway pink, and all the other sites use it (more than us, too!) So I am very hesitant to completely axe it but I'm getting there.
