amari, just do what you need to do. There's nothing magic about breakfast, the reason why we skip it is firstly because the Oxford study found a link between eating bfast and having more boys (and our own experiences seem to confirm, with exceptions on both sides) and secondly because it's an EASY way for people to keep blood sugar lower a little longer and maybe reduce cals somewhat. IF it's not easy for you, then that kinda eliminates the second option from the table, you know??

It really is! I know some people have trouble losing weight while BF (and I do too when they are less than 6 months) because you get so hungry when BF and you have to eat or you don't make enough milk, but it's not just the cals in/cals out that matter apparently. BF actually makes leptin and ghrelin in your body that will help you get the weight off when your body decides you don't need it any more. And they come out in your milk and help your baby to stay slim even into adulthood.

So then a swayer like me who is still BF (DS2 - 22 mos and drinking 8+ X a day) has absolutely nothing to worry about metab-wise, right? Very interesting info, Atomic!

    Amari,

I am in the same boat, I cannot skip breakfast or I feel really sick and faint. I just try to make it work in other ways.

Skipping breakfast is not the solution of weight lose. You just stay away from those food which contain the high carbohydrates and don't eat before going to bed. You must also do the exercise daily.

We are not trying to skip breakfast for weight loss, we are skipping it to keep our blood sugar lower for more hours out of the day.
