Firstly I'm so, so sorry.
1)We honestly don't know. In rats, it swayed by quite a bit. But diet sways too. I personally would go ahead and TTC now, with the assumption that if you don't get pg this first month out, by cycle 2 you'll have been on diet a good amount of time. So it's like the best of both worlds. TTC now and get potential benefits from mc, and if not, by next month you can feel good about diet.
2)Again, we don't know. I would suspect the benefits last longer than one cycle because I know people whose cycles were off for even as long as a year after m/c. Strange and kooky cycles seem to produce more girls than regular ones.
3)I am not convinced that losses are always (or even mostly) chromosomal, esp in younger women. I think docs tell people that, so people don't beat themselves up over mc. But when we have hard science that indicates things like stress, excessive exercise, and caffeine are linked to mc, it seems pretty evident that there are lifestyle factors that can contribute. When I lost my twin I was 39 years old and I said something to my doctor about bad eggs and he told me that he thinks a lot of mc are caused by bad implantation (babe was implanted on my cervix). Different parts of your uterus have different amounts of blood supply, so he thinks that for at least some losses, the baby grows to a certain point and then the placenta can no longer get enough oxygen to the baby because of where/how implantation occured and so a baby that would otherwise have been just fine, passes. It also seems reasonable that stress and caffeine could contribute to this by raising blood pressure and constricting vessels. Just a thought, but I tend to agree with your doc that it may not have been chromosomal and that you're in no way destined for this to continue.
I think the real issue with waiting, and why they're so big on advising it, is that they worry there may be some missed tissue that can cause infection and possibly contribute to a future pregnancy loss. Once you've had another period, the odds are that everything will have been expelled at that point.
4) Vitex by a factor of a million. We're not even sure at all about the moon.
I'm sorry, any chance that "what" hurts the sperm? Not understanding the q.
5)If you got pg doing that once, I personally would do it again.
6)The prob with doing things to reduce mc (like supplements that can increase egg and sperm health) is that they prob will sway blue and not pink.
I would 100% avoid caffeine during the first tri and some research indicated that sleeping in a very dark room can somehow help prevent miscarriage. Get enough sleep and try and avoid stress if you can.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

~Personally~ I would start the vitex now because it can take a bit of time to work. Just take it 2 w on, 2 w off, in alignment with what your cycles were doing BEFORE you conceived your last baby because a lot of people's cycles resume on the very same days or close enough. That having been said, if you DO O or get what seems to be a period on differing days, switch your vitex doses to what your body is actually doing.
