    That's too bad, Z. I'm sure everything's fine, though.

i don't think a dull backache is anything to worry about. i went into premature labor at 22 weeks. the only thing i noticed was the glob of snot in my underwear a few days before my contractions. if you see a mucus plug or your water breaks then you can panic. as long as you can make it to 24 or 25 weeks your baby is considered viable and they will try to save her. just try to relax, i know its easier said then done.

Hi Z, sorry you are worried. I had an anterior placenta with DS2 and the amount and frequency of movement was very different to DS1 (posterior placenta). I didn't feel him move properly till about 24 weeks (18 weeks with DS1). I was quite worried about it as didn't find out it was anterior till my 20 week scan. - You might need to ask them though, I don't find they volunteer any information at NHS scans!!!

With regards to the backache etc, I had terrible problems with DS2 and ended up in hosptial a few times with SPD pain but the baby was always fine, it was just my body struggling being pregnant!

Hope you can get your feet up tomorrow as it is the last bank holiday for a while!!! xx

I've had my feet up all week apart from the walk yesterday, which was clearly a bad idea! Thanks for all the advice x

Hey Z.....I have had that same low back ache with all 3 of my last boys (except Evan...odd I didn't have it with him) and I for sure have it with this little stinker! My doc says to just lay down put your feet up and drink lots of water!! And I do mean lots!! After a while it goes away.....give it a try won't hurt you to give it a try. Oh yeah and I had a nutritionist tell me it is my bodies way of telling me my muscles are getting dehydrated!
And I totally know about the worrying part....hang in there and just breath (or try to not always easy I know).

Thank you Sarah! How are you? I was wondering about you this week, I know December in particular is difficult for you x

As of today I'm really having trouble walking because I have a pain in my left hip/pelvis (I'm not sure which!) - I wonder if the back aches and whatnot were a precursor to this! I'm ok when I wake up (or at least I was this morning) but we went out for a walk with the boys and as soon as I stepped down from the car I could barely put any weight on that side - needless to say we didn't walk far but it's been even worse since. I'm going to be a mess by the end of this pregnancy! I've started eating really healthily today in an attempt to do something about the embarrassing amount of weight I've gained and I hope this will help. When I was pregnant with DS2 I had a problem with my coccyx which made sitting normally virtually impossible and that didn't get better until I'd lost my pregnancy weight. I've had lower back ache from very early on with all my pregnancies but I didn't this time - until now!

Hey Z-- I bet that you are feeling normal aches and pains (not that it can't be worrisome). My Dr. told me with each subsequent pregnancy, the pregnancy is worse, but the birth is easier, and I have found this to be true. Also, as far as the hip pain goes, I had that with all 3 pregnancies. I found that my left side was really sore, since that was the side I slept on. Pregnancy can be so uncomfortable! Take it easy and if you are still worried, call the doctor. It is always better to be safe than sorry!

Glad your feeling better. Every little ache and pain will make you worry. I do the same thing and most of the time it's nothing. However, you know if something doesnt feel right. Call your Dr and at least get checked out by him if you continue to worry.

    Hey Zan...hope things are okay!
You are answering our questions, but going through some uncomfortable pregnancy pain.
Hang in there and I hope your little princess is doing well even though you are dealing with the body changes and pains!

Z - sounds like sciatica to me. I had that when I was pregnant with ds3, and it was miserable! I hate to say it, but it lasted pretty much the whole second half of the pregnancy for me. Walking up stairs was soooo painful!
