Does anyone feel like their baby is going to just bust out alien style? This baby is going nuts in there and sometimes I feel like it might just bust right out through my belly button!

Of course today she is extremely quiet and barely moving and I feel really yucky, dizzy and naueous and her soft barely there movements today has put me on edge.

Yeah - my baby's doing that too. She seems to like to stretch so her foot or bum juts waaaaay out and I feel like I'm going to split open. None of my other babies moved this much.

I had a mw appt today, and I'm measuring small - 28.5 weeks though I am 32 weeks. At my last appt, 2 weeks ago, I measured 29 weeks by a different mw. She offered me a requisition for an u/s, so I took it. Should I be worried, or could it just be a simple matter of a different person doing the measuring, the way I'm carrying or just a small baby?

I wouldn't worry too much, Mocha. My Dr sent me for a growth scan last week because I was measuring a little off (can't remember if he said small or big) but at the scan, everything measured just right. Have fun seeing your baby again at the u/s!

All my kids have moved a bunch, so I don't know that this baby is any worse, but it was so mellow for so long, that it seems crazy that it has started moving so much more in the past few weeks. Maybe it is just starting to run out of room.

My DD3 measured small and at the specialist, they measure the diameter of the abdomen and the head. They can estimate size that way. If she is small, they may have you come back in a week or 2 to check to make sure she is growing properly. The belly measurement is really not that helpful.

Thanks, ladies. I'll try not to worry about it and instead will look forward to seeing my little girl again.

Mocha, the other ladies are right. Practitioners can measure slightly different from one another (just where they start the tape, how things smoosh once on your back, even your uterus can be leaning to one side or another and throw it off, lol). I switch between a Doctor and a Nurse Midwife for my appointments and my doctor always says I'm bigger, my CNM always says I'm right on.

And YES, my baby feels like it's going to explode out of my side! VERY different from my mellow and stretch-y boy. I'm soooo paranoid because, even though it's head down, it seems to favor having it's back/butt to my right side and alllll of the kicking/punching is over on the left (high and low). I hope once it gets bigger it will pick a more birth-beneficial direction! I keep making sure I lay on my left side as much as possible and do the the "open knee/chest" stretch a bunch of times a day.

As for measuring I was 2 weeks over by one dr but then when I saw my usual ob the other day I was measuring 25 weeks so spot on.
I had the worst sleep last night I just cant get comfortable, I am a tummy sleeper and I find myself waking up ALL night because I end up on my stomach and can feel the baby moving or I am sore I try sleeping on my side but then always seem to end up on my stomach a bit, I do have a really soft pillow that I put under my tummy.. Oh and my lower back is so sore I think I am desperate for a massage!!! Maybe I will ask my d/h for one ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha yeah as if!!!! MEN !!! Thats another topic I could go on and on about they can be so selfish! I wish they could be preg for one day!

Yeah, there is a lot of stretching with this little one. Seems like it stretches out all the time. That's what makes me think it might be running out of room!
