If you can do it while keeping the overall goals of the diet, it's not only allowed but encouraged.

If you can find ways to LIVE the girl diet (rather than enduring it white-knuckled whilst walking a knife-edge of almost cheating constantly) then you can keep it up in the long term and have a lot more freedom to pursue things like timing, jellies, etc. because you're not in a super-big rush to get pg as quick as possible.

I also posted on FB the other day that I was hiding in the kitchen eating tutti fruttis and she responded and said she ate loads of them when pregnant so she must have had a sweet tooth! I imagine from her personality and her relationship with my dad that her testosterone isn't as high as mine either - my dad has always treated her like a princess! My dad also smoked and went to the pub regularly ... They actually wanted to try for a third baby and were looking in to swaying for a boy but my mum got cervical cancer and had to have a hysterectomy. She was only 29. On a happier note, they now have 4 grandsons!

Does anybody else notice that larger, unhealthier men tend to father daughters? DH is not eating so well lately (because I'm not cooking for him lol!) and is drinking my share of booze now I'm off it and I'm not too bothered about stopping him because he's naturally very muscly and more fat and less muscle is surely good?!

Good luck swish, hopefully the stress of DH being away will delay ovulation I'm terrified of actually carrying my sway out, it'll be weird having just planned it for so long - and I'm not looking forward to so much BDing!
I notice three sets of guys who have a lot of daughters - pudgy unhealthy guys just as you describe, super athletic exercise maniac guys who ride their bike an hour a day and measure every portion of food that they eat, and party animal smoker/drinkers.

I do totally agree but there are things that some guys do for sports purposes that actually cause some of them to have more daughters than they would otherwise. Like, constantly overtraining, eating a vegetarian/vegan diet or lots of whey/soy protein, riding bikes/running which heats up their testicles and lowers sperm count, and taking certain supplements that are not good for fertility.

That is really interesting! I see that all the time on doctors.

Sounds like you did a good job, Swish. That was strong of you to skip the parm on your pasta - I'm not sure I could do that!

It's 3:30 here and I'm STARVED! I still have to wait at least an hour and a half until supper.

    Nice one swish

Today was a funny day for me because I went shopping to Ikea with my sister this morning and didn't drink anything except 2 diet cokes until almost 3pm - those things really stop the hunger pangs! My sis had hotdog and chips at Ikea so I was very restrained! I ended up with this:

    Lunch: Croissant and jam tart
    Snack: Tutti Frutti sweets
Dinner: Kids pizza (it was Mickey Mouse shaped lol!) and sald with a little light salad cream followed by a cupcake (not chocolate this time!).

I think I've had about 1100 calories, 25g protein and 500mg sodium so I might have a glass of milk this evening to up my protein to around 35g.

    Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: rice with 1 tbsp low fat spreadable goat cheese and a couple of cherry tomatoes mixed in, 2 low fat low sodium cookies (I was thrilled to discover that Peek Freans makes a diet version of their classic fruit creme cookies - they're made with artificial sweeteners but they taste almost like the real thing)
Supper: steamed asparagus, rice pasta with zucchini, leeks and parmesan + 2 more cookies and a non-fat yogurt for dessert
Snack: Nibs candy, strawberries and low fat ice cream

    Sounds great Mochagirl!

    So far today I've had:

    Skimmed milk for coffees
Lunch: Warburtons thin (it's like a very thin bread roll crossed with a flat bread) with low fat cheese slice, cucumber and iceberg lettuce, a few grapes (I actually had to stop eating these as they were filling me up!) and then a packet of salt and vinegar crisps!! These were a budget brand and only had 200mg of sodium and barely any calories or protein and they were yummy!
Dinner: A warm plain scone with jam and cream and a glass of skimmed milk.

I'm not sure what I'll have for snack yet this evening. The scone was so nice

Tomorrow I'm going out for lunch with work colleagues and I ordered a starter of potato wedges with cheese and mushrooms (it was meant to come with bacon and red onion too but I asked for it without). I'm now wondering why I didn't just ask for a plain jacket potato with salad as I'm going to have to sacrifice some of my other meals to make room for the sodium and protein in the cheese, even if I make sure I only eat a little!
