Thanks Junie, I was v upset last night but I'm so over sensitive about these things. I don't think people even realise what they are saying, I know they don't mean to upset. I've just always wanted a daughter so badly and I take any comments that seem to reinforce negative stereotypes of boys too much to heart. I wish I didn't care so much what other people think!!!! I would be so blessed with another boy. I was so proud the first day I went out with all 3 of mine, twins were a few days old and eldest was nearly 2, and all I got was negative comments. Just need t grow a thicker skin!

Ttc2015, I also don't belong in the thread but I completely agree with junie. How insensitive of your friend to say such a thing, little boys are just divine and anyone who feels like your friend does it missing out, maybe in actual fact she is saying things like that to cover up her own gd about having all girls? Either way its people like that who make gd worse for people and maybe like junie said it may be a good idea to take a step back from them for now and surround yourself with people who don't make you feel bad about having 3 boys. Having 3 of a kind is a special thing, the bond between the ones I've come across has always been amazing. Good luck to you hun.

And she knows that I'm planning to try for another baby. When people make comments like this it really upsets me because 1. I feel it totally undervalues my beautiful boys who I wouldn't swap for the world and who were the most gorgeous babies, just as gorgeous as any baby girl, and 2. Reinforces my belief that every woman actually wants a daughter deep down, and if I have another boy everyone will be feeling sorry for me. They will whisper "that's the poor woman who has 4 boys, can you imagine?!". And then another friend who has a boy and a girl said 'how do you cope with 3 boys?!' And went on to say how awful her boy was and how grateful she was to have a daughter who was so lovely and basically made everything ok. 'I'm so glad I have her, she is so gentle and lovely etc etc'. I just want to curl up and cry!!!!!!!!! My boys are loud and boisterous but they are also gentle and kind and so so loving, I wouldn't wish them away, my worst nightmare is anything happening to them and I have a huge guilt about how badly I want a daughter, but it's hard not to feel this way when it seems that everyone around you is reinforcing these feelings!!!!
Wow!!! My blood is boiling reading this!!!

How insensitive and cruel!!! I would have found it so hard to keep quiet listening to that nonsense!!

Some people just do not think what they are saying! I have recently distanced myself from a friend who came out with similar rubbish about how she was relieved to have just to one boy (followed by 2 girls)

I totally can relate about feeling guilty wanting a girl, but just need to remember it has nothing to do with how much I love and treasure my boys xxx

I think it's around 1500 unless you have loads of weight to spare and that you're supposed to eat back the exercise calories? As far as I can gather, it's not a starvation diet per se but the actual diet content that sways...I could be wrong tho x
I VASTLY prefer that people stick to 1500-1800 cals. THere is a small minority who can drop to 1200-1500 and they are: People who have more than 30-50 lbs to lose, people who are petite and never eat more than 1500 cals a day and got boys doing that, and people who have plateaued with weight left to lose.

Some people even go up to 1800-2000. People who are tall, have a high metabolism, nursing moms, and those doing the full 60 6-7 exercise may want to at least start at 1800-2000.

On PCOS deit you should not be using low fat products - since you are getting less cals from carbs, you need more cals from fat or you will waste away to nothing. Full fat only on PCOS (plus skim dairy products are awful for PCOS for reasons we do not know). And you get more protein too 50-60 g instead of 40-50.

Be sure you are not counting ANYTHING in low carb veg like tomato, cucumber, pepper (they are free and unlimited) and count cals ONLY in fruit and higher carb veg so if you are including those in 1200 cals that's even worse because you are certainly not getting enough cals/protein/fat

Thanks Mandy and Jenny. I was very shocked, she is a very nice lady and usually so complementary about my boys, was just so taken aback! Ah well, mustn't dwell on the silly things that people say. X

Hopper, thank you! You have done great weight loss yourself too. I also think your few cheats on holiday were good to you, as you said you don't want to risk ovulation as your BMI is pretty low now.

Mom23boys, yes you should be more stress free if you are doing e4d! I think I ovulated almost week later than normally! Maybe it's the LE that delayed O? Exciting that we have our first attempts so close together! I'm sorry you don't know many 3 boy families. I can imagine the pressure is on. I really hope you will get your DD but if you don't I'm sure the 4th boy is very special I know many families with 3 boys, I think only 2 has two boys and then a girl. Sometimes I think it's almost impossible to have a girl after two boys but this swaying stuff makes me hopeful!

    Welcome wantmyprincess!

Ttc, your friend's comment was absolutely horrible. What are they thinking when they say these things? I'm really sorry you had to listen to that and I totally understand why you were upset. Hugs! About lavender and rose quartz, first I wanted to buy lavender products but I couldn't find them in the stores so dropped those. I found my old rose quartz necklace and planned to use that but I have forgot it lol. So I'm not doing any of those. Only put the little girls dress under our bed

I'm having a girls night out on next Friday. We are going to a restaurant and have a few drinks. So I'm going to have a cheat night. So looking forward to it! I'm going to eat something LE friendly to stay in limits but going to drink alcohol during the night. First I was little concerned is it ok to have a cheat night so close to the first attempt but AS said it's fine so I'm not stressing over that

Hey x2blue! Yeah I say pressure but truth is I'm not worried to be honest what anything thinks anyway...a healthy child is what my end goal is..but saying that this is the last chance salon for a girl... So it is on my mind frequently. I'm hopeful but preparing my self to hear another boy!! X

Ttc15 - I wouldn't worry what anybody else thinks. Those that care don't matter and those that matter don't care! People can be bitchy when they think they're better than you with something even friends unfortunately.

Hopper - good luck and I hope you enjoyed your break!

CD 19 for me today. Usually AF comes CD 28 so not long now BUT...this last ovulation has been the worst! Painful cramps and breasts, headaches, nausea and really really bad cravings...I've totally fallen off the diet the last two days! I had insatiable cravings for salt and just stuffed my face with crisps...I NEVER crave salty food, not like that. It was weird. But it's been a strange cycle. If anything it's normally sweet food. So now I'm doubting whether to put off for another month or just go ahead as planned. Meh. Maybe my body needed it. Lol.

Had a dream about boy toddlers last night too! Lol x

I also had a huge craving for crisps this weekend!!! I seem to fall off the wagon a bit at weekends, there always seems to be a party or a meal out and I def go over my limits. I'm confused about alcohol - I thought alcohol was good for girls as long as it's within your limits for the day?

Must have been something in the air! Lol

Well I've added alcohol ...I just have a single shot vodka with diet lemonade or coke every evening. Sometimes I have two. I don't feel any effect from it except it makes me relax a bit...I guess..but it's probably a placebo. I'm sure it's thr longer term effects of alcohol that sway girl. A girl I know has a few girls and drinks at leat 4-5 bottles a week of wine

I don't think there's any fat, protein or carbs in vodka and it's about 60-70 cals per shot. So a good treat tbh x
