Hobb & Pinkin, so sorry your still itching. I had never heard of it until being on here and then i was watching a midwife programme over here in the uk the other night and a lady had it but very very serverely! She would itch day and night constanlty and didnt sleep for days causing herself to get infections in her itch wounds. She never slept for days and was very disorientated, in the end she was prescribed drugs that had never been prescribed during pregnancy. She had other health issues also as she had a liver transplant and then that failed but they managed to keep baby in until 32 weeks and she was ok.

It looked so painful and very annoying, hope you ladies get it sorted soon. I feel for you ladies

Just read up on facebook and TTC5 is still in labour i think she said her contractions have slowed down and they wont give her anything to speed them up but wont stop her labour either. Think it said she was 15hrs in and 3cm dilated. Thinking of you TTC5, good luck hun and cant wait to see your lil man

It sure is hitting home that we will all be having our babies soon, i really must get a wriggle on and get things sorted....eeek! I dont know if its because its my 4th but i haven't really got anything ready yet. I have about 10 weeks left but DS3 was a 35 weeker so better get sorted just incase.

Off out to help nan move house again today so will try and pop back on later x

I hear you about making sure to get everything sorted, HappyLea. I've ordered my car seat but it won't come until late next week. Last night I had a few painful contractions and wondered what I'd do about getting the baby home if I went into labour. I was joking with the midwife the other day that I could just push sadie home in a stroller (the hospital's about a 45 minute walk away). She said a wagon would be better - dh could pull Sadie and me!

Yeah, I'm also getting some anxiety over having the baby soon! It's like it won't stop dragging by (because I feel so crappy physically) but I'm just not ready in any other way.

DH has been a goober this week. He says he's been "sick" all week long, that his pancreas hurts him again (he hasn't been cheating with beer, he's been well-behaved) but it just seems all week long the minute I got home from work, before my work clothes were even off, I had both kids under my care and he closed our bedroom door and "napped" because he was "so sick." Honestly, I don't see it, and I"m not saying he's not feeling something, but I"m not so sure about all this. Meanwhile the dishes are piling up, he hasn't cooked but one meal all week long, and our kitchen table is still covered in 4 boxes that need to get unpacked! I'm feeling slightly panicky that he's not helping one iota at all, and despite my head wanting to nest, nest, nest, my body is physically DONE! I'm not sleeping good at nite because even with pillows help, I get so sore in my hip region it's really painful to even try to roll over in a new position. Last nite I slept on the couch, and my hips feel better but my neck is all crinky feeling, plus I have a sinus cold now, and it started last nite, and he was all bitchy about it, saying "well I still feel bad too."

We are just a mess right now, lol.

Hoping this weekend we can work together to finish getting the boxes unpacked and start getting some of her clothes washed...the clothes washing has gotten so behind because DH has refused to wash a single thing this week that first I'll need to wash the kids and some of our clothes and then hopefully I can get to Lillian's stuff.

I'm sorry you're so frustrated, auroara - I've definitely been there. My DH is constantly complaining of headaches and lack of sleep, and often disappears for a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day, with no recognition that I might be tired since I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant and am up at least once an hour in the night.

My dh is also a supreme procrastinator. I've been moving all the heavy furniture (bookshelves, etc.) myself to get the baby's room organised because I know if I left it to dh he'd never do it. Yesterday was his birthday and I got him an antique desk. It's currently sitting in the back of our van and I keep harrassing him to do something about getting it out. Seriously, this thing is small. If I weren't pregnant I would just take the drawers out and carry it up the stairs myself (I did that with ds's dresser), but dh is a wimp with manual labour and seems to think he needs to get someone to help him. I'm tempted to just move it myself on our dolly when he's not home.

Last nite I had a very vivid dream that 6 weeks after I have baby Lillian, I get pregannt again....it was a nightmare cuz in my dream I was stressed about finding space in our tiny house for a 4th child...we'd need to move before we got a bigger house, and I was really, really worried about gender again for the 4th child....GEEZ I thought having a girl this time was going to kill that, I woke up feeling so bad, like I love my boys, if I do end up with 3 one day (courtesy of a 4th child) that would be fine...but in my dream, I was in a total panic, that the 4th child HAD to be Lillian's sister

And Mocha, LOL I still think we married the same man!! Yeah, mine can be helpful, but this week because of his "issues" he's been a total troll, and I've been fed up and overly swollen with baby to do much...I tire so easily too!

Pinkin, I have had 3 epidurals, and I am planning on getting one this time, too. I am of the opinion that the medicine is available, so I may as well take advantage and stop the pain! As far as the itching, yours sounds awful. I'm glad you got some meds that help, though. I will get tested again next Wednesday. My worry is that the Dr. won't induce me early even if the results are elevated. He basically blew the whole thing off when I mentioned it at my last appt. I don't think he realizes how serious it can be for the baby! You are lucky your Dr is aware and willing to do everything for you.

Mocha, your DH sounds like he doesn't do well with the birth stuff, so if you have to go alone, and you are comfortable with that, then I think you will be fine! My DH isn't super helpful with contractions, but I guess I have never expected him to do anything to help me--I kind of just do all that on my own. I really just need him there for emotional support, and he is good during the birth. Plus I just feel like since this is our last child, he should be there when it is born.
I can't believe you are able to move all that furniture around! I can barely stand for more than a few minutes before I get exhausted. You are tough!

Auroara, your DH needs to stop whining and help you! He may be sick, but that doesn't mean you should be stuck doing everything! I swear, there should be some simulation program for men to feel what pregnancy is like--especially the late stages when we are so exhausted and heavy. My husband is a weenie, and thereis no way he could handle it! My DH was giving me a hard time the other night about not getting the dishes done when I'm home all day. Yeah, I have 3 of our own kids to take care of, plus I baby sit a 10 month old. And my 2 year old is a total nightmare, and needs constant supervision so she doesn't destroy the house. I try to get some dishes done, but really, when everyone is napping, I use the down time to get on here and FB and relax . But my lord, I need to have some rest! By the end of the day, I feel like my body just hurts!

Hapylea, I haven't done anything to get ready for our baby either! I haven't even set up the co-sleeper, and the carseat needs to be washed, and I have NO baby clothes cleaned up yet. If this baby comes soon, I am screwed.

    Still pregnant and home now!!

So this is what happened. Went to bed with period aches and lower back ache. Probable asleep by 11.30pm maybe midnight. 1am I woke to a strong contraction... 4 mins later had another... and 4 mins again another.. after half hour I decided ok I am getting up and see what they do... hr and half later still following this pattern so woke hubby and rang hospital who said to come in.

Put on trace and was showing strong regular ctx so off to birth suite we go. Because I was only just 35 weeks they did not want to go and check for dialation to risk speeding labour up, at same time they would not stop it either.

I had a dose of panadeine forte for the pain as it got closer to 9 hrs of this pattern. Ctx started to drop to 10 mins apart and they needed a delivery room for another woman so they gave me a private room in maternity. From around 1/2pm to 4ish they were every 10 mins. I decided to send hubby home to have dinner with the girls and would call if anything changed. soon as he left BANG was hit with bad ctx a minute apart for about 20 minutes!! They were waiting for a delivery suite to come available and in the mean time decided they better check me. I was 3cm and stretchy and 50% effaced. I felt soooo down, to only be this far!! So more panadeine forte and things died down to 10 minutes again and during the course of the night they got further and further apart, come sunrise they were pretty much gone!

So I am now home and we just have to wait for it to start again!!
    Fathers Day baby!

TTC5 so sorry you didnt get to meet your little man, maybe he decided he was comfier inside and wants to spend more quality time in mummies belly all snug I deffo think tho that when it starts again you will deffiinately be meeting him.

So sorry some of you are having issues with your hubbies, give them a kick up the backside, i wish they could experience what it is like to be pregnant.

So glad its not just me who is not prepared, so much to do and i have just been helping other family members out with decorating and moving house. My housework is ok but my washing has been neglected for about a week so i have 2 days now before we move my nans big furniture on monday so i will have to catch up on washing duties.

We will be using the pram and car seat that we bought for olly its like brand new but i would like to wash that. Need to get moses basket out of loft and wash the sheets for that. Need to sort out clothes and wash them also. I think with my other pregnancies i had a hospital bag ready from about 22weeks and still nothing done yet...lets hope all these babies bare with us and hang on in there until we have gotten things prepared.
