Sorry for the frustration, Ash! I may be in the minority, but OPKs have been unreliable for me. The two months I did get preg, we dtd WAY before +OPK. I just went by cm. When we dtd on +OPK day, bfns all the way. No clue why. But every woman and every cycle are different. (And I use digital OPK because I'm lazy and kinda anal about accurate results--yes, I own my Marthaness!--so there's really no guesswork in when they're positive.)

We dtd last night...attempt one, down! Yay! I'm a little nervous that it was too late. Can I claim stupid that I didn't look at my calendar so haven't been testing with OPKs until now? Ha! (See, I'm *trying* to tone down my Marthaness!) Getting negatives, but I'll keep testing for a few days. If I get a +, I will for sure be doing another attempt in a few days. But according to cm, I might have been too late. Oh well. January would be a nice month to have a baby girl too...

Hi ladies, this is my last cycle trying for a while (I will possibly try in late June if my cycĺes stay on track for an approximate April 1st DD, otherwise I'll be TTA until December). So I'm really hoping I get pregnant this cycle but I'm not hopeful - my LP has been on the short side recently. Plus I've been trying for 8 cycles and not even a hint of a pregnancy so I think there is likely a major issue with DF if there isn't one with me.

Ash, I hope you haven't missed O! What CD are you on?

girlie, we are almost cycle buddies, I am a day ahead on CD14 and also had my first attempt yesterday. I am doing BD every 3 days, possibly more often, I'm trying to be more relaxed this month and maximize my chances. I hope I will O on CD16-18 based on my cervix but my OPKs haven't darkened AT ALL since I started testing several days ago. Still only a very light 2nd line. If I don't O by CD20 I will stop TTC as I don't want a late Dec DD.

Does anyone know how bad moderate to heavy drinking is for sperm? Like 2-6 drinks 3x a week? He needs to get a SA done soon too, like next Monday. We both had blood drawn for testing last week at the RE and our follow up to discuss test results is on April 7th.

Maiden- don't worry about opks! I never got a positive this cycle that I got my BFP! I had to go by my temps and CM.

Hi Maiden!! I really don't know what cd I'm on b/c I'm not planning on actually ttc till may... Just freaking out b/c I don't think I O'd yet b/c if no cm and that throws off my date of O in May... I wouldn't really care about that but just learned that we are going to a family reunion where we will have no privacy... So instead of stressing about dates in May, I think I'm going to try to lose a few more lbs before I gain on the boy diet, and go for a June attempt!! I think that would be way more relaxed and since this is our last baby I want it to be special, not stressful!!
Also fx fx that this is your month!! I'm not sure about the drinking thing, but would assume that drinking like that could affect some guys fertility more then others.... Would prob be worth a shot for him to slow down and see what happens best of luck to you!!

I'm back!! My husband got back from deployment a few weeks ago and I'm due to ovulate in 2 or 3 days so excited to be back on this site!
