I’m getting so annoyed. I emailed my doctor saying I need to stop the progesterone shots due to their high cost. He’s out of town for soring break so someone else is filling in. They called the financial assistance department without speaking to me first. The financial counselor was obnoxious as could be. She told me we needed to apply for assistance plus Medicaid, not stop the shots. She just couldn’t get it through her thick head no matter how many times I repeated it that we fall quite a bit outside their income guidelines and do not qualify for any assistance. She kept telling me to apply anyway, continue the shots, and wait 45 days for them to approve or deny assistance. Well, the shot costs $300 each after insurance pays. I told her I am not racking up thousands of dollars in bills waiting for the denial letter for something that is not an absolute need. Now I have to sit and argue at my appointment tomorrow with whomever is filling in that I will not be receiving anymore shots while they act obnoxious about it. There isn’t even any scientific evidence showing it benefits those delivering after 34 weeks in the first place. I’m tempted to skip my appointment altogether just to avoid the whole situation altogether, except it’s the second half of my anatomy scan and that’s important. I told my husband I wanted him to come with to back me up if they get huffy about it, but he’s expecting to be too busy.

Thank you Pinkinthestars!
Bunnygirl, how many weeks are you now? Why does your dr want you in the progesterone? I hope you are able to get it all worked out!

I’m 19 weeks now. The progesterone is because I have my babies early (35 week range) due to having a blood clotting disorder. My appointment went well and I was able to decline the progesterone without any resistance, fortunately.

Hi everyone. I have been having pain since yesterday. Went to hospital today, Dr said it could just be one of those things in pregnancy or my appendix
has anyone ever had round ligament pain last more than a day? I'm hoping that's all it is.

Bbb my round ligament pain usually comes and goes and is dependent on what activity I’m doing. Rolling over, getting out of bed, getting up too quickly all seem to do it. But it’s never constant. Did they do a scan to check your appendix? CT scans are most affective but aren’t recommended during pregnancy.
