LOL about the cart watchingI do that too
I just wanted to add, that when I would shop the meat in the trolley would usually be for DH, then the kids, then what was left over was for me, usually the buns with a bit of sauce on lol, so you never know she may have been lucky for the left overs also
And I agree with everyone that its where the weight comes from that counts, I gained weight but off of purely empty calories, white bread, cakes and sweets, cheap processed high sugar foods basically, so even though I was gaining weight I was losing nutrition and body condition. I added the nutrition in and got my baby boy![]()

I guess by the theory that anything reducing fertility sways pink, heavy women fall into that category. If they are that overweight and unhealthy, it has to reduce fertility! And...maybe b/c they are so big, they can never get deep penetration from their partners????????

It's because it's declining and improving maternal condition that sways and NOT weight or diet. Being very heavy and eating a terrible diet can be even worse for your condition than being thin and not eating much can. But it's impossible for any of us to eat up to 300 lbs in enough time to sway, and it would be terrible for our health to try. So losing weight is a better way to go for pink.
Sausage and hot dogs are laden with preservatives that can sway pink in excess (and if you don't believe it, I can give you the names of 50 ladies who ate them by the truckload trying to get a son and ended up with a daughter). Chips and caff sodas are also pink-friendly foods. Sodium in very high doses may sway pink. The IGD can be TERRIBLE for blue sways depending on how you do it.
I have an essay that answers that question in depth here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...irls-boys.html!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

What if you gain weight doing the "crash and burn style?" would that sway blue then?
I have recently lost control of my sway (due to being on the diet for too long and getting depressed from bfn) and have gained weight eating candy, cookies and coca-cola. I'm eating less fruit and veg than ever before, but I'm gaining due to caloric intake. I'm now at the heaviest I've ever been (BMI 26-27), is this swaying blue? I assumed it was but I don't even care anymore because I want any baby I can get at this point!!

Not to be a poo-poo-headed thread-hijacker, but I just read this article two days ago, and I thought it was pertinent to this conversation. During my pink sway, I thought often of what, if any, implications my pre-pregnancy diet would have on the baby's development. This study examines the effects of preconception diets in rats, so clearly there is question of whether or not this would apply to humans. Epigenetics is a burgeoning area of research, and one that is revelatory for me in some ways (much like String Theory or Quantum Mechanics...makes my brain feel like it's gonna explode a little
) I think we've just scratched the surface of this field of study with the persistent question: "How will our actions affect future generations?"
Sorry, with the boys gone for the day, I've had time to wax all philosophical.

None of that is nutritious though (I don't consider red meat healthy at all, NEVER consider eating it and have 3 boys). If these larger ladies are eating stuff like that, they are probably sending the message to their bodies that good quality food is not avaliable and so a girl pregnancy would be preferable over a boy.
