I am going for one attempt too, but by experience (only twice actually), my OPKs turn pos 3-4 days before O, and then it is neg. is it too long cutoff? What if it get pos we have one attempt and then I find out I m ovulating after 4 days maybe? Should I then wait one cycle or go for second attempt? Confused

I have to say I do believe it's possible for the "average fertility" woman to get pregnant with 1 attempt, but of course pink swayers are doing a lot to lower fertility
I'm not sure that for everyone one attempt sways more than multiple attempts with J&D/douches/etc, though

on the other side of it just to share both experiences (particularly for everyone reading this currently pg with multiple attempts and panicking - as i know i did when new things came to light after my sway) i had more attempts for this little lady than with any of the boys - so a girl is still possible!!!!!!!

I might have to try this. The boys were conceived both times with sex every day or second day and making sure we did it the day of positive OPK and after. (I count my identical twins as one in terms of first conceiving as was one egg to begin)
Since he has 6 sons it is likely he has a high sperm count so I am guessing I should make my one shot a bit before positive OPK to get the count down by the time I ovulate?
I am also cracking up at the manic shagger and one shot wonder commentDPs sons21 +

That is too long and while you can certainly try having him release once before attempt, that will not do a whole lot for helping his sperm quality - most of the "jellybeans" will still be the licorice ones. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...frequency.html
My advice for someone who has gone 5 months without getting pg is to drop frequency all together, have him release every 4 days and then go for the one attempt in your fertile window (pos OPK is easiest)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I need more information. Why do you think you're ovulating 3-4 days later? Based on what symptoms??
As a general rule, people will ovulate 8-48 hours after their first positive OPK. It doesn't matter how long they stay dark for, it can be pos. for 15 minutes or for 5 days and it still works like that. It is like crossing a finish line - once you are across the threshold, your body gets the signal, whether the signal keeps coming for days afterwards or whatever, it's irrelevant. All that matters is the signal is sent.
Now it is possible that your body can get the signal and due to things that are going on in your environment, decide "eh, maybe not just yet" and keep the egg in a little longer.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
