He had heard about the shettles timing method and thought that was worth a go - suppose that was cause of the frequent bd ha ha. Men!!

Like Atomic has said i think its really not as important for DH so i wouldnt get to concerned. My hubby has recently taken up running. Has been running 30+ miles a wk so i am going to continue encouraging him ha ha. I also plan on feeding him fake sugars and less meat. So he will be swaying without even knowing he he.

So has your hubby agreed to take cal/mag and cranberry supps? How about licorice root? Atomic recommends licorice root as being the 'best' supplement for DH to take.
AP I think that running 30 miles a week sways "harder" and has more data backing it up, than all the licorice root on the planet.

Here's a great thread about it.

(It's not much higher though!)
So how many days in a row do you have to do frequent release in order to lower sperm count?

Hi, sorry to jump on thread. I thought it was best for DH not to exercise too much as it increases testosterone and they are supposed to put on a bit of weight- have I got this completely wrong!!! I have tried to stop my DH from exercising too much, he goes to the gym every day, should I not worry about this? Or would it be better for him to run every day? Thanks

Hmmmmm....good point! It's prob. not totally necessary but depending on how desperate you are for pink, I would still do it.

No not at all, I like these questions because it helps make these threads really informative.

It's better for him to run/bike than lift weights because of the testosterone factor. Lower testosterone, higher estrogen in men DOES sway pink just as you say, it's the sperm quality factor that seems to be affected by running/biking. So two diff. approaches to swaying but they both work.

    Nutshell version -

If your main goal is to lower testosterone and raise estrogen then YES it is best for DH to not exercise and maybe even put on a little pudge. (but this is not necessarily as proven to sway pink as I would like and it may only sway by reducing sperm count/quality ANYWAY)

If your main goal is to lower sperm count/quality, then it is best for DH to run/bike a lot. (and this IS proven to sway pink).

It does seem possible to get the best of both worlds by having DH run/bike a lot while losing at least a little muscle weight because this can potentially lower his T levels BUT this is risky because he'll lose some fat as well and may lower his estrogen.

Thanks for your reply Atomic -frequent is the way to go then! Sorry just one more question - do you think one actual attempt with a cut off is better than two attempts? Want to increase my chances of getting pregnant as i want to do diet 100% but know it isnt going to be easy. However by doing 2 actual attempts is it going to compromise my sway as there will be more sperm waiting to fertilize the egg = higher sperm count? kwim.

Swish thankyou for asking your question. The answer helped clarify things for me. Have you decided if you are going to allow DH to exercise or not?

Ha, ha! Can't stop him exercising, he's not that compliant! He's going to run/ cycle most days, he's happy with that
