12 week potty shot is not reliable at all. Useless as a matter of fact.

I keep hearing that, I just looked and saw nothing poking out in between the legs and three little dot/lines and of course my mind went crazy

Can/do boys have the "three dots/lines" starting out as well with nothing in between the legs? If it were a boy wouldn't there be SOMETHING there? I don't have the potty shot I looked at available but here is the profile pic...I don't think you can tell a lot from it, though. I am wondering if the skull looks more boyish...

I think early on both boy and girl could have three dots/lines. For a girl the middle dot/line becomes the clitoris. For a boy it becomes the penis. I don't see a nub in this shot. I think maybe you had this pic up in the ultrasound board.
Time will tell

THanks for the input. I've only ever had boys and never knew enough to look at Nub/skull/potty shots early on to get any clues. I thought maybe someone else would know if boy U/S can have three lines/dots as well as girls

Boys and girls have identical genitalia at 10 weeks (both have girly-bits). It's only at that point that the Y chromosome kicks in and begins to make testosterone that causes the girly-bits to turn to boy bits in boys. This process is barely started at 12 weeks and cannot be distinguished from a potty shot.
I would stop obsessing over these pics hun. Focus on your life and don't worry about what she has going on.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I'm good with my life, thanks
I asked more for my own info. I like knowing things and have no idea how the gender thing progresses during pregnancy. I went blindly through 3 pregnancies, barely looking at ultrasounds (which I have since pulled out to see what I can see) and since this will be my last pregnancy, I probably ask too many questions, but I'm more curious. (thanks to this site) Kinda want to know what to look for when I get my nub pics and THOSE, I will be obsessing over...I don't think I'll be able to help that. LoL Thanks for all your knowledge, it's appreciated!

Ok sorry, didn't mean to offend in any way! Happy to explain, just never sure if someone is really uptight or just curious.

aww
Well I hope you get your girl as well. It is hard seeing others get our dream, when it seems so hard for us to get it for ourselves. GOod Luck!
