My DH has been taking Ramipril for several years and before our sway 2 years ago I spent weeks looking up the possible effects of ramipril on sperm. There wasn't a whole lot of information to be found but I consistently found the same answers.
There are two types of medication used to treat HBP

    *angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
    or
    *calcium channel blockers (CCBs)

It is the calcium channel blockers that have a negative impact on sperm.

Ramipril is an ace inhibitor and although it can cause erectile dysfunction problems, it has to the best of my knowledge and a lot of searching no impact on sperm.

I apologise in advance for any wrong information possibly given by me here as I stated I don't fully understand but I did look into it extensively and have looked into it again after reading this thread and still come across the same information as before.
You have to understand that we really, truly have little to no idea what sways. This is guesswork here. So we can't give you advice to this level of specificity. The reason I say blood pressure meds sway pink is because I have seen TONS of my blue swayers whose husbands were on them and then several people whose husbands started BP meds and then got girls. Have I done a full on study and tracked all these things - no. So, I stick with my original answer to this question that I believe they ALL sway pink whehter they have a derogatory impact on sperm or not, BUT high blood pressure ALSO sways pink and it is best to treat it.

But those guys had poor sperm health for SOME reaon that the medication then fixed. That doesn't mean it will have thateffect for everyone.

Oh I know, I had asked you about this before and you explained it to me I just thought I'd share what I found because it gave me a little peace of mind towards swaying blue while DH is on meds for high BP - I just hope that all the sway factors are stronger than the BP and meds which common sense says they can be otherwise wouldn't the answer to swaying pink be to take BP meds lol and clearly its NOT!
So there is still hope. I hope

Northernchick - foxymrsg conceived her DS2 while her DH was on ramipril so it can be done

YES!! I am talking about people who get Custom Plans, whose husbands have been on BP meds in the past and they've had girl after girl when on the BP meds and/or people who were NOT swaying (blue) and hubbies went onto them and then got a girl after a long run of boys. I am NOT talking about success rates with swaying. If I thought that BP medication was a dealbreaker for blue, I would NEVER EVER accept people's money!!

I am NOT talking about the outcomes of sways. We are getting betwen 70-80% success for blue depending on sway tactics used and you can see here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/add-...ow-gender.html that the Custom Swayers (many of whom had husbands who were on BP meds) are getting about 75%.
