Just out of curiosity, what do you mean when you say AF was due a certain day and then you were 15 DPO??? I suspect you may have ovulated later than you think. Did you have any more unprotected sex after that point??

Ok fair enough. I guess i'll just wait to find out if we have our girl. Hehe

I got my positive ovulation result on 2nd aug and BD that night but ovulated after that, you said its 24-36hrs after a positive test. So i could have been 13-15dpo when i got my BFP on the day before AF was due.
No other unprotected sex, just the one time.

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are both 37 (few months until 38) and we have decided to try for a girl. We thought we were done with our last son who is 11 months old. Because of our age we are trying to get pg as soon as possible. I have been on a vegetarian diet since June and dh for about a month. I've lost almost 20 lbs (which is exciting just by itself) we are finally ready for the attempt. Our 3 sons were all conceived on one attempt and with abstain very close to or on O day. A long abstain (we aren't frequent bders so it was like once a month or once every 2 months, but I'm not sure how often dh was releasing on his own)

So our plan is to do FR given our ages and one attempt on positive opk. I've been reading to dtd o-2 (two days before O ? Hope that's right terminology) but how do you know what day that is?) We also started the FR yesterday which would put us at 7 releases on CD 11. I wanted to go for 10 releases but I miscalculated. I hope that isn't too problematic. Last month I think I ovulated CD18, but only calculating that because AF was 4 days late. I've only gotten AF back since June because of breastfeeding, so it's hard to say my cycle length. Then in July we had an oops moment and I took plan b and screwed up my cycle. I was planning on also using rephresh. So my questions are, does this sound like a reasonable girl sway? Do you have any tips or see anything that isn't girl friendly? Hopefully I've explained myself well and am not too confusing. I'm just really overwhelmed and nervous. Thanks ladies!

Ok, so we have released 6 days in a row with no positive opk in sight. But he missed yesterday. Should we just keep moving forward or get an additional release in there?

Hey Atomic,

Just wanted to let you in on the news. Ive reached 8+3 weeks pregnant and we had our dating scan last week and....

We are having TWINS!!!!!!!!! Seriously did NOT see this coming! planning our last addition to our family, one last chance at getting a girl because we only want 2 kids and BAM!!! TWO!! So I suppose thats double the chance at getting our girl hehe So far they are likely to be non identical but there is still a chance.

Smooth sailing with the pregnancy so far. A lot of tiredness and waves of nausea but pretty good. hahaha I'm still in shock.
