hi everyone,

maiden-hope you are still on the mend

eleena-those DH's will make us stress!!

had an ultrasound and bloodwork today. looks like i ovulated 2 follicles, the other two are irregular so looks like they are giving up. progestrone is 23 and estrogen is 335.4 so she said that i ovulated on monday...again she says that when we BD on monday that it was perfect timing for pregnancy but not perfect timing for a girl..i just read Atomic's essay on timing to remind myself that she(the RE) is crazy....so, looks like I'm 3DPO...she said that I could take a HPT on next Sunday...i was thinking thursday?

Smarston- that is great news! Looks like we are cycle buddies - I am 3DPO too! FX you caught the egg!

I won't test until Sunday though at the earliest. This is cycle 9 for me, and I want to be sure AF is truly late before I test.

XX-FX you caught the egg. And I'm glad we're still cycle buddies!! I'm freaking out that we BD on O day...think I need to go read the timing essay one more time. Augh

Remember it is your overall condition that matters the most. Obviously having tons of sex in your fertile window could undermine the best of diets, but having sex on O day doesn't. It is one attempt in your fertile window, which you did. You gave it your all!

How is everyone doing!! Anyone else waiting to O? I think I finally O'd yesterday. I had a positive opk (finally) on Wednesday. My temp went up this morning but I also had a bit of broken sleep last night. I hate when that happens when I am temping. That is why it stresses me out. So after tomorrow's temp I will stop. We have been bd every 3 days and 1 attempt at pos opk.

Here is my chart. I know it is pretty inconsistent but I wasn't planning on temping but O was late so I decided to start to confirm.

How are you guys doing the temp thing?
I was planning on doing only OPK using wondfo. Is that sufficient? What more does temp tell you and do you take it using regular thermometer ?

Also does your CM tell you anything more and what's the ideal CM look like for TTC a girl?

You need a basal thermometer, glass or digital, that reads to the hundredths degree (98.01 instead of 98.0), or to two decimal places. Taking your temp orally will work, if you are not an open mouth sleeper. You can also take the temp vaginally, but you need to start with one and stick with it your entire cycle.

By temping, you will know if you are ovulating or not. Once you ovulate, you will see a rise in temp 0.3 or higher, above your previous temps. When O has occurred, your temp will stay high until either the day before or once AF starts.

Opks only detect your LH surge, which tells you should ovulate within 12-48 hours. You can still have an LH surge but not ovulate. Only temping can tell you have ovulated. Opks can predict O and temping can tell you have actually Oed.

If you decide to temp, I would join Fertility Friend for free to input your temps. FF has an algorithm to detect ovulation so you don't have to mull it over.

CM-if you check it after your period ends you should see a progression from dry, sticky, creamy, watery before O or during O, EWCM (egg white consistency), then it slowly drying up or staying creamy until a secondary estrogen surge or drying up. When TTCing a girl, the diet can cause you to have only creamy or watery CM. Some ladies still get the super fertile EWCM for a few days or not at all. It just depends, in other words. You can check your CM by inserting your finger into your vagina, or using toilet paper over your finger.
