Did hypnobirthing really make it pain free Ribena? I had a posterior (back to back) labour with a nuchal hand that gave me awful tearing and the pain was immense, I hate to sound so cynical but I'm struggling to imagine anything other than actual drugs making that much difference?

It was pain free up until transistion, then i thought i was dying lol! But i gave up on the hypnobirthing then as i was tired and didnt know how close i was, i got stroppy and got out of the pool at 10cm, then decided i wanted drugs - clearly too late but i thought i was only about 7cm ha!! The weird thing is i didnt need them as there was no pain, i was just so tired from the contractions i wanted to have a rest. My labour was 17hours from start to finish and id been up since 7am and it was now midnight.

Its a strange feeling, the contractions get intense, but its almost breathlessness rather than pain, its like someone sitting on your chest and you cant breathe in for a few seconds longer than youd like - if that makes sense?

Transition was a bitch though, but she was 9lb4oz and had her hand on her face. So this time i'll be concentrating on getting through that without pulling hubby's arm off haha!!

Well girls, I had my gender scan today...it's a girl! Here is my thread with pics on the third page! I think post #27.

    http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ultr...ate-its-3.html

I did a gentle (aka. lazy) sway, basically didn't eat breakfast for that month, ate very little meat for a few months, drank a lot of CL, lots of carbs, lowered my ph with cranberry, took Vitex, and I have PCOS and am definitely a 'dominant type A female' as they say, so I tried to lower my testosterone as much as possible by staying stress-free and avoiding food sources of testosterone. I had also just finished nursing and had lower T than with my boys, I'm SURE of it. The things that were against me: I had just finished a course of antibiotics from a UTI, I did have a big O (accidental) and I O'd on or the day before that big super moon, so that was a false theory for me. I did do a lot to counteract ions though, just in case. Also used rephresh to keep ph low. Lots of praying!!!!! Good luck to everyone for healthy babies!
